Totally Gorjuss - 108 - Sparkle.

Good morning everyone and I hope you're all fine and looking forward to an enjoyable weekend. For once I've got a Saturday off and we're off to visit our daughter and family for the weekend. Poppy was 4 on Wednesday and she's having a party on Sunday afternoon. I've got 30 fairy cakes to make on Saturday and the words birthday cake were also mentioned! Catriona thought that fairy cakes would be better for the party bags than a slice of cake. Maybe less messy lol!

This week at Totally Gorjuss the theme is "Sparkle". I'm sure you all like some bling and with Christmas getting nearer sparkle would go well on a Christmas card. And that's exactly what I've made, another Christmas card. We're sponsored by Wee Stamps and Sylvia very kindly gave each of the DT one of her lovely images to use for this challenge. Thanks Sylvia, I love this cute bunny.

I used :-
Image :- Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet.
Colouring :- Promarkers and Sakura clear glitter gel pen.
DP :- Bo Bunny.
Twine :- Ribbon Girl.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Snowflake corner :- Memory Box.
Jewels.
I'm entering the following challenges :-
ABC :- D is for Dazzle.
Totally Papercrafts :- Christmas.
Pollycraft :- Christmas Fun.

I hope you can find time to join us this week. I loved your swirly, whirly cards last week and I'm looking forward to seeing your sparkle cards this week.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend whatever you've got planned. Catch you later.

Totally Gorjuss 91 Christmas in July.

Good morning everyone. I hope you're all interested in making a start on your Christmas cards if you haven't done so already. I've made a few already (only a few) and I quite like the idea of making some more so I don't have to make most of them in December - again! So I'm quite pleased that the challenge at Totally Gorjuss this week is Christmas in July. This week we are sponsored by Meljen Designs and Melissa has very kindly given each of the DT one of her lovely digi designs. I love this cute snowbunny, hope you like what I've done with it.

I used :-
Image :- Digi from Meljen Designs.
Sentiment and card candi :- Craftwork Cards.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Martha Stewart punch, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Nesties, and Glamour Dust.

I'm entering the following challenges with this card :-
Papertake Weekly :- Sketch.
Pollycraft :- Christmas in July.
Crafty Creations :- Christmas in July.
Fussy and Fancy Friday :- Christmas in July.
Charisma Cardz :- Christmas in July.
Allsorts :- Free and Easy.

I'm not very good with digi images but I've managed to print this one four times so hopefully you'll see him again between now and December. Hope you like what I've done with him. My talented teamies have made some gorgeous Christmas cards with their images so remember to pop over to Totally Gorjuss for some more inspiration. Hope you can join us this week. You certainly enjoyed our challenge last week, we were blown away by how many of you joined us for our punch or die challenge.

Thanks for looking and I'll try to catch up later. Enjoy your weekend.

Christmas Tilda in Pink.

Hi everyone. I've made another Christmas card! Not happy with this one though. I found a great sketch at Sketch and Stash but I don't think I've done it justice.I wanted to enter the Christmas Tilda in pink challenge over at Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club so I made this card in a bit of a hurry this morning after I'd been very good and done my housework lol! That was a mistake because I was an hour too late! It also fits the challenge at Pollycraft which is Christmas with no red or green.

I used:-

Image :- Tilda.

DP :- Forever Friends.

Sentiment and card candy :- Craftwork Cards.

Colouring :- Promarkers and Sakura clear glitter gel pen.

Snowflake :- Sizzix.

Jewels :- Hobby House.

I hope this makes sense because I haven't got my glasses on and I really should have them to read what I'm typing lol!! I have other cards to post that I made yesterday but I'll need to shoot now if I want to have some lunch before I go to work.

Blue and White.

Hi girls, it's me again. Can't believe I'm posting for the second time today. I seem to be into monochrome today. First red and white and now blue and white. I thought I'd like to enter the Stamp Something challenge. This week they want us to use the colours of our flag. I'm Scottish and my flag is the Saltire or flag of St. Andrew which is blue and white.

I used :-
Image :- Story Time from a die cut sheet from LOTV.
Colouring :- Distress Ink round the edges.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Ribbon and lace from my stash.
DP :- Papermania Pastel collection.
I'd also like to enter the Pollycraft as I used their lovely sketch.
Lace and ribbon also fits the challenge at One Stitch at a Time.
I'd best go now and finish making the tea and walk the dog as I'm going out tonight to craft with friends.

Here Comes Summer!

Only one day of the weekend left now and I hope you have all had a nice one. I had a lovely time yesterday at a demo at Simply Create at Alford. The one and only Kath was demoing Hero Arts stamps and Distress Inks. I'm full of enthusiasm now and hope I can catch up with DT work and have a play. But I digress!!

This week at Just Cute Bears our challenge is Here comes Summer. Now you might be thinking "what Summer?" Well if it's not too good where you are you might just have to use your imagination!

I think this cute Penny Black bear just says "Summer." Look at him, doesn't he look as if he's enjoying himself? Lying in the sunshine in his hammock with a lovely cold drink lol!

I used :-
Image :- Penny Black - kickin'
DP :- Wild Rose Studio.
Roses :- Wild Orchid Crafts sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
MS punch.
Jewels, Sakura clear glitter gel pen and clear gel pen, ribbon from stash.
I'm going to enter some challenges with this card :-
Totally Papercrafts :- Animal Magic.
Papertake Weekly :- Sketch plus lemon and lilac.
Pollycraft :- Ribbon and Bling.
I hope I've got this right now! That's the trouble with scheduling a post, you're never sure you've done everything properly until it's actually posted.
This is a nice easy challenge so I hope a lot of you want to take part. As usual you're welcome to combine it with as many other challenges as you like.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend.

2nd Post Today.

Here I am again girls with another card. Mr Blogger was very good and my scheduled post for the Just Cute Bears challenge appeared at the right time. That's 2 days in a row as yesterday's post for Totally Gorjuss appeared at the right time too.

This afternoon I have been making a card for a few challenges. I think I might make a couple of cards and then get on with my DT cards so that I've got them done in plenty of time!

I followed this nice simple sketch from The Pink Elephant challenge and ended up with a Christmas card! I stamped the bell and the holly on white card and then stamped them again on gold and white respectively and the clapper on red. I won these stamps ages ago when Kath had some blog candy and at last I've managed to use them. I decoupaged the bell, the clapper and the holly. Please don't ask why I decoupaged the holly, it nearly drove me loopy. Ever tried to cut out something as small and awkward as this? Believe me don't even go there lol!!

I also used Nesties, a Martha Stewart punch, Promarkers, the Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder and Stickles. The DP is Cosmo Cricket - Jolly by Golly and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and it is edged with a gold inkpad.

I'm going to enter the following challenges:-

Pollycraft :- Red and white.
Creative Card Crew :- Punch it.
Simon Says Stamp :- Punch it.
ABC Christmas challenge :- B for bells plus glitter.
Fussy and Fancy :- Winter - Christmas ok?
Daring Cardmakers :- What's the point?

I might be pushing my luck with the Daring Cardmakers challenge but the holly has points and if you like so do some of the snowflakes! I've kept the card quite simple as it is quite a small card and I think it would be a bit crowded if I had added anything else to it.

And that's it really, nothing else I can say about it really. I'm off to see if I can do anything else before I "need" to do my ironing.

Christmas Present.

I made this card this afternoon using the great sketch from Mojo Monday. I coloured this sweet House Mouse image with promarkers and stickled the pompom and brim of the hat. The sentiment, ribbon and sticky ribbon are all from Papermania. The DP is from Forever Friends from last year. I cut out snowflakes from white glitter paper with Sizzix dies in my Cuttlebug and used nesties to cut the circles. The DP has snowflakes on it which unfortunately don't show up very well even on the first photo which was taken outside! Black jewels are from my stash. All the edges are inked with black. The next photo is not much better and just reminds me that the Merry Christmas could have been stamped better!!
But this is not a Christmas card it is a gift card holder. This House Mouse image was also coloured with Promarkers. The corners to hold the gift card were cut out using a punch. I think this fits the Cute Card Thursday challenge for hidden treasure. I think I might be pushing my luck with the Pollycrafts challenge for black, white and one colour!!

So the challenges I hope to enter are:-
Mojo Monday:- Sketch.
Sophisticat Challenge:- Make anything to hold something eg gift voucher, cash etc.
Pollycraft Challenge:- Black, white and one colour.
House Mouse Monday Challenge:- A challenge from the past year - #50 gift card holder.
Cute Card Thursday:- Hidden Treasure.
Allsorts Challenge:- Snowflakes.
I'm off to post this now and enter the challenges.
Thanks for looking and please tell me what you think. It makes my day to read your kind comments.

Halloween....

Well this is something I have never done before! This is the first time I have ever made a Halloween card. Not sure how I came to decide on a Halloween card but here it is. I think it may have been because I wanted to take part in the white, black and one other colour from Pile it On and Pollycraft. I also wanted to do the Just Magnolia challenge and Halloween seemed the only theme that fitted. I don't usually think of Tilda in terms of black and white but I thought one of the Halloween Tilda's would fit the bill.
I used the great sketch from Creative Inspirations and coloured this lovely Tilda with her spider's web and broomstick with my Promarkers. I used the lovely Halloween papers from MME. The black paper says "BOO"!! I also used some Core dinations whitewash paper which I put through the Cuttlebug in the divine swirls folder and then sanded to show the underlying green it has also been distressed and inked with black and matted onto black. The black "BOO" paper is matted onto green which has been distressed and inked with black. The image has been edged with lime green Promarker (which unfortunately looks a bit yellow) and then inked with black as has the sentiment. I added some leaves that I cut out with a Martha Stewart punch. The green ric rac, green pearls, cat charm and eyelets are from my stash.

The challenges I am entering are:-

Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge:- Sketch plus brads or eyelets.
Colour Create:- Neon green and black plus leaves and charms.
Just Magnolia 22:- Embossing.
Cupcake Craft Challenge:- Pearls and Swirls.
Pile it On:- White, black and one colour.
Pollycraft Challenge:- Black, white and one colour.

I've just realised I will need to take another photo of this card in the morning as there is something missing lol!! Trust me, I'm to busy thinking I need to get this posted to enter Creative Inspirations challenge before it is too late and then get my Tesco order finshed for tomorrow. I also have a card to finish before I go to my friend's house with it tomorrow. It would be finished but she decided to stamp a greeting inside and I made a mess of it so now I need to decorate the inside so as to hide the mess. In spite of the fact that rock a blocks are supposed to make a perfect image I can usually make a mess with them.

I'd best go now and do the things I really need to and maybe I'll be back tomorrow with something else. With my track record with photos I may not be back till Thursday!!!

Wednesday evening - I've changed the photos now.

Saturday Challenges.

I'm just ready to run out the door to go to a very boring meeting so I'll be back later to explain what this is all about!

The challenge this week on Create4fun was to make a milk carton. I made the template as big as my programme would allow but it is still not very big. It is cute though. My daughter says it wouldn't hold many Lindor choccies lol! I used some Penny Black stamps for two sides plus the sentiment. I watercoloured the images and added some stickles for snow and on the doggie's hat. I cut out two snowflakes with a Sizzix die. I used my nesties to cut out scalloped squares and the plain squares of DP. I actually printed the template onto plain paper first so that I could figure out how to make up the milk carton! When I was sure I knew what I was doing I printed onto red card. It was actually quite easy to make and fun. You could make one up with a little gift for any sort of occasion.
Challenges:-
Penny Black Saturday Challenge:- Christmas.
Create4fun:- Milk carton.
Pollycraft 23 :- Furry Friends.
Secret Crafter:- Wings.
My photos are even worse than usual! We have had such awful weather here. I even went outside to try to get them - if I had had it finished before I went to work in the afternoon I would have got on better as it was sunny then. But I was good this morning and did my housework before going near my craft area.
My meeting didn't last too long, that is the best I can say about it! Have a nice weekend everyone, hope the weather is better than it has been - especially yesterday!

Had a busy day!

This is the card I have been making all day!!! I decided I would try doing the Just Magnolia Too challenge which is 3d. I have done traditional decoupage often enough but not with my own stamped image - until today. Thanks to Debby Yates of a Scrap Journey for a brilliant tutorial. I have also been brave and done some stitching with my new Janome mini sewing machine which I found on ebay for £19.99. (Brand new and came from a sewing machine shop so if you want details just let me know.) I also used my Promarkers for colouring - sometimes I chicken out and watercolour lol. I used some of my favourite K & Co papers, wild raspberry.I think you can almost see that Spring Tilda has been 3d'd but I have added another pic to show it a bit better. I found some plain card which is just the right shade for the DP. The papers have also been inked round the edges with a Brilliance dewdrop ink pad. I found some of my cross stitch thread just the right colour to tie through the buttons! Buttons, flowers and ribbon from my stash. I'm hoping that this card does for several challenges - after I've spent most of the day on it!!
Friday Sketchers:- the lovely sketch.
Just Magnolia Too:- the lovely Tilda image and 3d.
Papertake Weekly:- any challenge from first 99 - Favourite things -K & Co DP.
Pollycraft Challenge:- Favourite things - K & Co DP.
ABC Challenge :- B for buttons .

Sorry about the card below!!! I made it using the sketch from day 1 of the Mojo Monday week 100. I think the only thing you could say about it is that it is quite cheery. The papers are some I found in a drawer and the sentiment is from Papermania.
I thought I heard the postie about 2 hours or more ago but I haven't been to check cos I'm waiting for the Whiff of Joy Fall set. Ok I gave in - it's here and it's gorgeous. But I can't do anything with it yet cos I'm going to a friend's house tonight to craft.
I have been so wrapped up in this 3d card that I nearly managed to cremate the lamb I was cooking to make curry for tea. I only just caught it in time. I would have been popular if it had been ruined.
Now Id best post this and enter the challenges as the dogs will want their tea and a walk soon.
Let me know what you think - good or bad, comments are always welcome and I love to find new blogs to visit. I follow quite a lot of blogs but you always find someone new as you hop around.
Looking forward to the weekend.

Five Challenges!

Hi everyone me again. This has taken longer to finish than I had hoped. The decision to add bows to the buttons for the Pollycraft challenge was maybe not my best idea! I used some of my cross stitch thread which is just the right colour but quite awkward to tie in a little bow lol.
I used the lovely sketch from Friday Sketchers, the colours from Passion for Promarkers - cocoa and rose pink. The colours also fit Whiff of Joy plus this lovely bear with present that I won from the Whiff of Joy blog hop. Pollycraft is buttons and bows and ABC is anything goes plus animals.
I am quite pleased about managing to fit in five challenges in one card. I used Basic Grey lemonade papers and as usual my nesties were used for the circles. Buttons are from my stash. After I took the photos I used my Sakura glitter gel pen on the bow on the present! I didn't redo the photo as with my photography skills you would not have seen it anyway.
Don't think I am going to get another card done now as I have to meet my friends at 1pm. I really wanted to do the Just Magnolia challenge too. Oh well you can't do everything, can you?
Have a nice day and thanks for looking,
Kat
