Hello everyone, it's Sunday again and time for challenge number 9 at Just Cute Bears.

We are lucky to be sponsored again by Cuddly Buddly. Isn't this a cute stamp? Just right for a boy's card.

This week we have a great sketch for you to follow. My lovely teamie Jane is the queen of sketches and she has given us a lovely one to follow this week. You can flip the sketch add embellies to suit yourself just as long as we can see the original sketch that's fine by us.

This is what I've done. I've left it very simple as I've used the sketch to make a 'thank you' card.

Pretty in Pink.

Hello everyone hope you've all had a good day. We've had a lovely day here though it's a bit dull now. Tomorrow is supposed to be not so nice but it's my day off anyway and I need to get busy!

I've used one of my favourite Magnolias to make this card for a few challenges. I hurried to take a photo in daylight while waiting for my Tesco order. The driver was on the phone twice.....lost...he'd never been here before! I see now that it's not a good photo after all. It is all matted on a nice pearlescent pale pink but the lacy strip, cut out with my beautiful new Martha Stewart punch doesn't look very pink to me!

DP :- Cloud 9.
Image :- Magnolia.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Colouring :- Promarkers, Sakura glitter gel pen and clear gel pen.
Punches :- Marth Stewart lace and butterfly.
Flowers :- Wild Orchid Crafts.
Stickles.

I'm hoping to enter some challenges with this card:-
Charisma Cardz :- Beautiful butterflies.
Just Magnolia :- Sketch.
Magnolia Down Under :- Birthday card.
Totally Papercraft :- Wings.
Magical Crafts :- Things with wings.

Magnolia Down Under have been having a blog hop and the DT all have candy so it would be good to support them by taking part in the blog hop. I've done it and they have some gorgeous creations so why don't you pop over for a look and take part if you have time.

Best get going now and get these challenges entered. Might just have time to have my tea before I go to the WRI. Tonight we have our own little show and a speaker from "Mercy Ships."

See you all tomorrow,

Happy Mothers' Day.

Happy Mothers' Day everyone whether you're a Mum or not. I am spending my usual Sunday afternoon blog hopping, making the tea and trying to decide whether I'll do my ironing now or later!

I thought I'd share some photos with you. Catriona sent me a photo of Poppy with my card and present. But no Oliver! So I dropped a hint and she emailed me a couple of photos. This 1st one is a photo of a photo since I don't have a scanner. Poppy, now aged 2yrs and about 3 and a half months is playing on the chute somewhere near Crieff Hydro which is just up the road from them. She seems to be enjoying herself lol. I think the only bit of her swing, chute, pirate boat etc that Grampa has built in her back garden is the chute. There are so many bits that I think it's a 6 man job for about a fortnight not a 1 man job for about a year lol!!

Here is Oliver aged now almost 18 weeks. He is a beautiful baby.....not that I'm biased of course. Very good natured and happy and good at sleeping all night. Very important to the average Mum of a young baby.
Look at that smile....I think he's going to be a real heart-breaker!

Just a quick update about my WRI show yesterday. Our co-operative entry was not among the prize winners though some of the items got good marks. My winter birthday card got 9 out of 10 so I was quite pleased about that. My Get Well card was unplaced but that was no surprise as it was a popular category and there were lots of cards. Many of them were of the Dawn Bibby press out and stick on style. I like to make my cards from scratch! Often I get lazy and use a ready made sentiment from Craftwork Cards but apart from that I usually do stamping and colouring and often punch flowers etc. A lot were decoupage which can be quite a lot of work and always looks impressive. The 1st place went to one made using Iris folding and apart from a flower and leaf there was nothing else on it!
To my great surprise I got Highly Commended for a small knitted beanie hat. This was knitted to a set pattern and is to be donated to Equip India who will distribute them to small children. Our knitted item is usually donated to some charity, different every year. I was a bit shocked as while my knitting was probably ok I wasn't that happy with my sewing up. Apart from that it is another category which always has a lot of entries. Still I was just happy to get a ticket lol!
I didn't have a crochet entry because I have completely lost my crochet cotton. I had boxes of cotton that my Aunt got for me years ago from someone who worked in J&P Coats. I'm sure I wouldn't have thrown it out but I think we've looked everywhere. There was no cross stitch category this year or I would probably have done something for that and I couldn't be bothered to get an action photo of an animal. I just spend so much time making cards now as that is what I enjoy most! I would knit more but it's the sewing up that puts me off!!
QVC is on in the background just now on the off chance that there is anything interesting on the 3 hours of craft this afternoon. I often check out anything I fancy to see where I can find it cheaper!
Best do some ironing now so that I can check out the entries on Totally Gorjuss and Just Cute Bears and maybe even get a little bit of crafting done.

All White!

Here we are on Mothers' Day and I hope all you ladies who are Mums are going to be pampered and looked after today. One of my daughters gave me flowers and the other one and her family sent me a card and choccies and a pic of Poppy. But no Oliver! I dropped a hint and she emailed me two pics. What a handsome baby boy he is....I am slightly biased of course lol!

But on to my DT card for Just Cute Bears. This time we would like you to make a white card. That sounds a bit scary but all it means is that we want you to use all white instead of coloured DP but you can colour the image.

For my card I used my Cuttlebug and three different embossing folders. I coloured the lovely Forever Friends image with Promarkers. I finished with some card candy, flat backed pearls and white organza ribbon.

Hope you like! I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this week. I've really enjoyed looking at all your entries every week. I've not been very quick at commenting this past fortnight but I hope to be having a quieter week this week.

As usual we have a lovely prize for you this week. We are sponsored by Cuddly Buddly and here is this weeks prize.

I think that's all I need to say except do please join us. I really enjoy dropping by your blogs every week to check out your entries. There are some very talented crafters out there. I hope you can find a minute to let me, and of course my talented teamies, know what you think of our cards. I hope we have been able to inspire you.

I must apologise for being a bit slow at commenting this last couple of weeks. I'm hoping that next week will be better timewise for me lol!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sweet and Gorjuss.

Hello everyone and it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week our theme is "Sweet."

I have chosen sweet as in yummy although I think this Tilda is pretty sweet as in cute too!

I have been very short of time this week as I was at the craft show at the SECC on Sunday, a WRI quiz on Tuesday evening and a meeting about our co-operative entry for our local show on Wednesday evening. Then this morning I had to make the scones I promised for the teas, finish off a Get Well card as an entry for the show and start this one. After work I finished sewing up a hat, another entry, delivered the stuff to a friend to take in for me as I will be at work in the morning and finished this card.

DP:- Basic Grey - cupcake.
Colouring :- Promarkers and a touch of Spica glitter gel pen on the ice cream.
Buttons :- MME.
Flowers :- MS punch plus card candy.
Sentiment :- Whiff of Joy.
I am going to enter a few challenges with this card too :-

Truly Scrumptious :- Sketch plus good enough to eat.
Magnolia Down Under :- 3 papers, 3 flowers, 2 buttond and 1 bow.
Crafty Cardmakers :- Feminine celebration.
Crafty Creations :- Make your own flowers.
Cute Card Thursday :- Celebrations.
Cupcake :- Flowers.

If Mr Blogger is being a good boy this post will appear in the morning. Looking forward to seeing how you interpret our theme this week. I have not been good at commenting this week due to shortage of time so I can only apologise and promise to do better this week.

Another WRI Show card.

Hi everyone I feel as if I haven't done much this week but I have done a couple of DT cards and two for the WRI show for Saturday. I've already posted the card for the co-operative competition which I'm reasonably happy with! This one is for the category - Get well card, any craft. I'm not optimistic as the judges often seem to be more impressed with cards made with stuff you press out of a sheet and stick on. Do you know what I mean? It makes me a bit stroppy but what can you do? I thought I'd make another easel card as they look quite impressive and are really easy to do. I had a bit of a disaster though. I had cut out a lovely pearly blue for the main mat and the one for the image when I realised that I didn't have enough for the base of the card. I could have changed my mind about making an easel card but I had really set my mind on an easel card so I just raked about and found another piece of card. Not as nice but still nice.

Just another view of my easel card. Do you like those pretty MME buttons?

DP :- MME laundry line
Colouring :- Promarkers and Sakura clear glitter gel pen.
Card Candy and sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Buttons :- MME.
Image :- Stampavie.
MS punch and Nesties.
Hope the judges like it but I won't be holding my breath lol.
See you tomorrow with my DT card for Totally Gorjuss. Hope you can join us, I always like to come and visit you and see how you've interpreted our theme.
Have a lovely weekend.

Winter Birthday.

Second post today and it's only about mid-day! I've known for a while that I had to make a card as part of a co-operative entry for a big WRI show on Saturday. Like every other time I have made anything for the show it has not been made very long in advance. I knitted a child's hat at the end of January and I have still to sew it up lol! I hate sewing up knitting. It would only take a few minutes to sew and I really need to do it soon, preferably today. Tomorrow I need to make the scones I promised to make for the teas. I also need a Get Well Card for one of the categories and 2 DT cards by Friday. So I need to stop wittering on and tell you about this card!!

I've used a lovely daytime winter image from Magnolia, coloured with Promarkers and finished off with stickles, Glamour Dust and pearls. I decoupaged the trees for a bit of dimension. The papers are also from Magnolia and I love them. I spent ages trying to make up my mind what papers to use! I think they work quite well though. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and I managed to get in my favourite Cuttlebug snowflake. How do you like the layout.? I followed the sketch from Winter Wonderland. It's a great sketch and I think it works really well with this image.

This is just another view to show the layered effect of the trees. I decided to make an easel card as I think they look quite impressive and are so easy to make.
When I finished it I thought it was maybe too red and green but it actually fits in quite well with the other 5 items in our little display. I'll try to remember to take my camera to the show and let you see a piccie. We have a painting of a wintry scene with a tractor and trees behind it. The top of a cake has been decorated with a fireplace with a clock on the mantlepiece and a rug and slippers. All the others think the card goes really well but if I post a piccie on Saturday you can see what you think!
I'm off to have my lunch now and then I really need to get on with the Get Well card. I've got as far as stamping an image.
Maybe see you later.

More Lilac!

Just a quick post to show you a couple of card I made very quickly on Tuesday morning to send to the winners of my blog candy. I still seem to be in lilac mode! And I found some little pieces of some of my favourite patchwork papers from Cuddly Buddly and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards. I inked the Hero Arts stamp with two shades of Memento Ink and edged the cards with the darker shade. A piece of ribbon and some jewels and that's it.

Hope Annelies and Lisa like them. I realised after I had made them that there are a couple of challenge this week for monochrome cards.
Pile it on :- One colour plus neutral.
I should be back soon with another card that I've made for a challenge and also for a WRI competition.

Just Cute Bears#7 "for Mum"

Well for the second time this weekend I am relying on Mr Blogger to be a good boy and publish this post at 9am this morning! By the time this is posted I will be well on my way to the SECC in Galsgow to the craft show. My friend and I have been looking forward to this since the last show in October. At that time my daughter's baby was due any time! In reality he was born on the 9th of November, 2 weeks late and now he is almost 17 weeks and getting really big.

But about this card! It is for challenge no. 7 over at Just Cute Bears where the challenge this week is something for Mum. I've used some more K&Co DP....love the colours in this pad. The sweet image is "The bear" from Hobby Art and he has been coloured with Promarkers. I used some lovely flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've glittered them and the butterfly with a Sakura clear glitter gel pen. The flowers in the image are topped with a Sakura clear gel pen. I used a MS punch to cut out some leaves. I finished off with some glittery jewels and glittery ribbon. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Hope you like and I'll try to have a look at your entries later today if I'm not too shattered. In reality I'll probably have a look around tomorrow. If you pop over to the challenge blog at Just Cute Bears you can see what my talented teamies have made for your inspiration this week.

And of course you probably want to know what the prize is this week. Well again we are sponsored by the incredibly generous people at Cuddly Buddly. We are very lucky to have such a generous sponsor and are very grateful to them. I can tell you that they have lots more than just the lovely stamps we have been lucky enough to give to our winner every week. You can also buy digi downloads. I can really recommend their papers, they are just gorgeous and you get lots of different designs in every set. You can also buy ribbons, punches, dies.........etc. But don't just take my word for it, pop over and see for yourselves.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Totally Gorjuss 20 Sketch.

Hello everyone and if Mr Blogger is being nice today he will have posted this while I have to go to work!

For our challenge this week at Totally Gorjuss Net has given us a lovely sketch to follow. Hope I've done it justice Net! I've blinged it up a bit so I could also enter it in some challenges.

I coloured Miss Bumblebee with Promarkers and paper-pieced her dress. Then I covered her wings with a Sakura clear glitter gel pen and added a heart-shaped jewel to her hair. My DP is K&Co. I got the lovely lace from Quixotic Paperie and again I've used some gorgeous roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and I cut out some leaves with a MS punch. I finished off with some heart-shaped brads, ribbon, button and pearls. The string in the button is coloured with Promarker to match.

I hope you like. If you can find time to go over to the challenge blog at Just Cute Bears you will be able to see what my talented teamies have made this week. Tell us what you think we all like to read what you have to say about the challenge and our own cards. It's always encouraging to see how many of you enter our challenge every week and we love to see how you interpret our challenge. I've enjoyed seeing all your cards "for Mum" this week. As usual we are sponsored and you can win a lovely prize, so go on give it a go. Remember you don't need to use a Gorjuss Girl to enter the challenge.

The winner of the candy pictured is Annelies from Belgium.

The mystery candy has been won by Lisa from Norfolk UK.

Thanks to everone for entering and welcome to all my new followers, great to have you with me.

BLOG CANDY.

This candy has now closed and the winners' names can be found Here.

THIS POST WILL STAY AT THE TOP UNTIL 4TH MARCH SO PLEASE SCROLL DOWN IF YOU WANT TO SEE MY NEWER POSTS.

Well here it is at last.............the blog candy that I've been going to post for ages. Finally I put it together and managed to get a photo in daylight.

Just a few little things to do!

1. I'd be really pleased if you would put a piccie of my candy in your blog or sidebar.

2. I would really appreciate it if you decide to become a follower.

3. Please leave me a comment below.

I will post worldwide so everyone is welcome to enter.

If I get a good response I might find some more things to add!

Included in this candy is:-

2 sheets of Kanban toppers.

4 pieces of Kanban foiled cardstock to match.

A chipboard alphabet.

A Basic Grey 6x6 Indian Summer pad.

A Stamping Bella rubber stamp.

8 Whiff of Joy "Party Animals" rubber stamps.

The stamps are all new and unused. The reason I have so many Whiff of Joy stamps is because I did a Whiff of Joy blog hop last year to celebrate the release of the Party Animal stamps by Alison Acton. One of the prizes was a set of these stamps. Being an optimistic sort I ordered some of the stamps. Imagine my surprise when I won them. Since then I have been meaning to offer them as blog candy but have never got round to it...until now!

Edited to add :- I've found some Petaloo flowers and I think I should throw in some buttons and I've been very brave and raided my ribbon stash . If I reach 100 followers I might even add something else.

This candy is open until Thursday 4th March and I will draw a winner at 3pm. Good luck everyone!
Edited again to add:- since I've had lots of lovely entries I am going to add a surprise 2nd prize. I also need to apologise in advance for being late announcing the winners as we are going to a funeral that afternoon (weather permitting) but I hope to announce the winners about 10pm.

Bit Last Minute!

Think I've left this a bit late! I love this cute Penny Black image and I thought it was just perfect for the Charisma Cardz challenge which is for a birthday card with a candle on it.

I used some of my favourite K&Co wild raspberry DP. The image is coloured with Promarkers and I also used a Sakura clear glitter gel pen. The flowers and pearls are from Prima and that's about it. This was just a very quick card - not like me I usually take ages to make a card!

I'm also entering this card in the Penny Black challenge. This is their lovely sketch, I really enjoyed using it.
I'm off to enter this at Charisma....very quickly.

Thank You!

Good evening girls. I hope you have all had a good day. It has been mainly lovely and sunny here in Aberdeenshire. We had a little dusting of snow when I got up and a little shower at lunchtime but nothing that did any harm. Really cold wind but I don't think it was enough to say that March came in like a lion!

I made this card yesterday evening after I had been a good girl and finished my ironing. Left it to take a photo today completely forgetting that by the time I got home the light would be gone! I thought it would be handy to have a "Thank You" card in my box.

I'm not sure the second photo adds anything. I thought it might show that I decoupaged the flowers and popped up the whole thing on sticky pads.

Sentiment:- Hero Arts.

Colouring :- Promarkers and chalks.

Card Candy:- Craftwork cards.

Also used:- Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder, Sakura clear gel and glitter gel pens, ribbon.

I'm entering the following challenges with this card :-

Easy Craft Projects :- Thank you.
Crafty Creations :- Cut it out and pop it up.
Cupcake :- Round and round.

Think that's me now. I'm off to check if we've got many entries at Totally Gorjuss and Just Cute Bears.

See you tomorrow,

Kat xx

These are some of the goodies you can win. You need to pop over to Prima's Blog to find out what to do.
But you need to hurry as it ends tonight!

Just Cute Bears #6 Mint and Brown.

Good morning everyone, it's Sunday again and time for another challenge from Just Cute Bears. This week we would like you to make a card or some other project of your choice using the colours mint and brown.

We are very lucky to be sponsored again by Cuddly Buddly. This week the prize is another lovely stamp. Isn't this a lovely image and just perfect for your Easter cards.

Here is my card in mint and brown. I checked out my Promarkers first to reassure myself that I was using the right colours lol! I coloured the lovely Forever Friends image with Promarkers and edged it with brown. I made the spots on the hat by using a lighter shade than the main shade. I kept the card simple as I was making it for my husband's birthday on Thursday and I don't think men like flowers or glitter or anything "fancy." I just added some card candy coloured to match with Promarker. I also coloured the string I added to the buttons to match. The DP is the lovely Bloom and Grow from MME.

I think that's all there is to say about this card. I'm looking forward to coming round your blogs this week and seeing your lovely new cards and projects. Last week there was so much beautiful work using Lilac, my favourite colour lol! I really enjoyed seeing what you had made.
Enjoy your Sunday,
Kat xx

Busy Saturday.

Good evening girls. Today I went to a crop at my local craft shop. I took the day off this time so I could go all day. Sometimes I just go at 1pm after work. I was quite pleased with myself as I had one card almost completely prepared and one fairly prepared. I also took some beer mats to cover as I wanted to make a hanging with Oliver's name on it. Unfortunately I didn't take any papers for this but I managed to find some there so they are covered on both sides at least. I still have to cut out the letters of his name so maybe I'll get my Cricut out tomorrow! By then it was 2.30 and to my horror I discovered I had nothing else to do. My cards just needed little final touches as I did not take any card candy or jewels or flowers with me. I thought I had some House Mouse decoupage in my bag but no it was at home. So I just had a browse around the shop and had a look at some scrapbooking magazines and a coffee till it was time to go. I didn't buy much as I am saving myself for the SECC next Sunday......can't wait! But I did buy a gorgeous new set of MME glittered papers - Penny Lane.

I decided to make a Baby congratulations card to add to the ones I have. I thought lilac and aqua would do for a boy or a girl so that would be handy as whether you have pink or blue it's always the other one you need. My friend gave me the card candy as it is exactly the same colour as my backing card. I have lilac but it is quite pale. The papers are from the lilac patchwork collection from Cuddly Buddly. I printed another sheet of the stripey one this morning but....and there's always a but I realised when I looked at it at the crop that the original was printed on pearlescent paper and the new one was on plain white paper. So I had to finish that this evening. I also added the flowers from Wild Orchid Craftsand aqua! leaves. Not a very good photo unfortunately.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:-
House Mouse :- Multi-fold card.
My second card is a thank you card using a "Bear" stamp from Hobby Art Ltd. I love these bears, they are really cute. I've use more paper from the patchwork collection from Cuddly Buddly. I think this is a nice fresh paper and makes a nice simple card. I finished off with some card candy coloured with Promarker to match and another rose from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I thought this photo was ok until I uploaded it and then realised that it's a bit squint. Too late now though! I'm entering this card in the following challenges:-

Creative Inspirations challenge :- Thank you.

Sassy Designs by Susie :- Lilac and aqua.

Truly Scrumptious :- Sketch.

I think that's all for now. I'm off to check out the entries over at Totally Gorjuss.

See you all tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Totally Gorjuss 19 Mum.

Good morning everyone, and if Mr Blogger has been behaving this will be posted on Saturday morning. This week at Totally Gorjuss our theme is "Mum." As usual we are sponsored so there is a nice prize for you. This week it is some sparkly stuff from Meyer Imports.

This week I have coloured this beautiful Tilda with Promarkers. I think this might be the first time I haven't used a Gorjuss Girl for the Totally Gorjuss challenge lol! She's one of my favourite new Tildas and I think I might use her quite often. I've used Tulip Yellow and Baby pink promarker to fit the Passion for Promarkers challenge and I've also added some faux stitching. The gorgeous papers are from K & Co. These are some of my favourite papers, they are lovely colours and lots of them are glittered too. I used Distress Inks in Tattered Rose and Mustard Seed on all my edges, glittered Tildas dress and added these lovely pink pearls from Prima to fit the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge. I embossed some of my yellow paper with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and this fits the Sophisticat challenge. Since the theme of the TG challenge this week is "Mum" it will also fit the Paperplay challenge. Oops nearly forgot to say that I followed the great sketch that Dawny P did for Papertake Weekly.

Hope you like! I'd really like to hear what you think. It really helps to know what other people think. So many of you entered our challenge last week that I was really struggling to get around all your blogs. If I didn't manage to leave a comment on your blog I'm really sorry and I'll try to do better next week. Not sure if I'll manage though as I have a family funeral next Thursday and it is over 3 hours drive away from us so I'll lose a whole day. Aunt Kate was the last of my late Father -in-law's sisters and the last of the family. She would have been 89 on Sunday coming so she's had a long, long life.

Anyway all that remains to say is have a nice weekend everyone and I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for Just Cute Bears. I suppose I might manage back later to show you what I've done at the crop....if I manage to achieve much!!

DT Call for By the Cute and Girly.

I see that By the Cute and Girly are having a DT call. It is open until 1st March and is for crafters of all kinds. Not just cardmakers but people who knit, cross stitch etc are welcome to apply. Click here to pop over to their blogspot for full details.

Sweet Magnolia.

Good morning everyone from a very wet and slushy Aberdeenshire. It's really horrible here today. Sleety and windy. The snow is rapidly disappearing here. As the crow flies we are only 2 or 3 miles away from the North Sea so we have not had actual snow falling this last couple of days. We're surrounded by fields so all I can see are the remains of the snow and water everywhere....yuk. Even my Labrador wasn't keen on going for a walk today.

But on to my card! I have been so busy trying to comment on the entries for my 2 DT challenges that I haven't done much in the way of crafting! It's very time consuming but it's lovely to see other people's work. I made this card last night just because I wanted to enter Just Magnolia. Haven't they given us a lovely sketch this week. I made it into an easel card so it also fits the Magnolia Down Under challenge.

I think it also fits the following challenges:-

Stamp Something :- A Touch of Spring.

Magical Crafts :- Something for Mum.

Basic Grey :- Maroon, lemon and pink - the lovely Lemonade paper.

Everybody Art Challenge :- Easel card.

Secret Crafter :- Mother's Day.

I also used - Card candy and sentiment from Craftwork Cards, gorgeous roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, Promarkers, raffia lace and ribbon. Oops nearly forgot I sprayed the flowers with Glimmer Mist.

I think that's about it. Now I need to go and make a card for my husband's birthday.....which is today! My son-in-law's birthday was yesterday and he got his card and present on time but I kind of ran out of time to make hubby's card. Possibly because I made this card last night lol! I won't be able to post his card till the weekend as I'm intending to make his card one of my DT cards so you'll be able to see it on Sunday.

See you all later if I don't get too caught up with my DT work.

Cute House Mouse!

Good evening girls, I think I'm on a bit of a roll today. Three posts.....and no ironing. Oh dear I need to at least iron my trousers for work tomorrow!

Need to be quick then lol!! I wanted to make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge as I've been doing their blog hop and to have a chance of winning the prize you need to enter the challenge. This week they want 3 different types of embellishments, 2 patterned papers and 1 image. The DT were using House Mouse images so I decided that I would use one of mine too. Isn't Monica with Blankey really sweet. I love House Mouse they are all so cute! I'm still using my Cuddly Buddly papers. the stripey one is from the patchwork collection and the floral one is a freebie that I had almost forgotten I had. I used an MS punch for the scalloped edges and embossed some more of the lilac card in my Cuttlebug. I found this gorgeous flower in my stash. My three embellishments are ribbon, jewels and the flower. The sketch I used is from Mojo Monday and it's a great one, really easy to use.

I think that's all from me. I'm off to iron.....lucky me. Tomorrow I need to get commenting on the Totally Gorjuss challenge entries, so far we have got an encouraging number this week. I should be out tomorrow night but that depends on the weather as the speaker might not fancy coming out in the current weather conditions.

My blog candy is still on offer if anyone fancies a shot. I've found some flowers to add and I'm trying to be brave and have a look at my ribbons lol!

Blue for a Boy!

Good afternoon everyone. I hope the weather is not too bad where you are. Here it is very cold but it has been a beautiful sunny day. Would be even better if the ground was not covered with snow and ice lol!

This week I need to make male cards for my hubbby and son-in-law. I made a very quick one for my son-in-law this afternoon as Ineed to post it tomorrow for Wednesday. At least it would have been quick but when I picked it up to take a photo of it I realised I had stuck the gingham panel - and of course the image and sentiment - in the wrong places. So I had to make it into an easel card. Oh well at least it's finished now, nothing else to do. The doggy, which came from an Inkadinkado clear set of stamps, reminded me of their daft Labrador Missy. The paws are from the same set. I've been dying to use the ticket stamp from Hero Arts so this was the perfect chance. This lovely DP is from the blue patchwork set from Cuddly Buddly. I love these papers, I used the purple set already this weekend and I also have pink! As I am keeping this card nice and plain and simple, I don't think men appreciate bows and flowers and jewels, I finished by adding some card candy coloured with Promarker from Craftwork Cards.

Not much else to say girls except I hope he likes it. I'm feeling quite creative today so maybe I can get something else planned before I need to make tea. Just the two of us tonight as daughter is working till 10pm so we can eat quite early and I can have an evening of crafting! Well apart of having to iron and go online and find a birthday present for my son-in-law!

I think I can enter a few challenges with this card too:-

Sketch and Stash :- Sketch and I used some lovely new stamps.
Totally Papercrafts :- Lots of spots.
Papertake Weekly :- Checks/gingham.
Allsorts :- Tag, ticket or label.
Cupcake :- Keep it simple.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

PS don't forget to enter my candy. I'm going to see what else I can find when I get a few minutes to spare.
