Totally Gorjuss 95 - As You Like!

Good morning everyone hope some of you are looking forward to a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Needless to say I'm working this morning and Monday too!

This week at Totally Gorjuss our challenge is "As You Like" and we are sponsored by the inimatable KennyK. As you might know this is not my usual style and I don't often use digis but this image was very easy to use. Even I had no problem re-sizing and printing my chosen image and it was really easy to colour. The DT were all given a choice of images by KennyK. Of course you don't have to use an image from KennyK or even a digi but if you want to we'd love to see them.

Sorry but the bad picture but the good news (for me) is that I had an email today to say my camera has been repaired and they're posting it back to me today. Thank goodness, I haven't got on too well with my little basic standby camera, as you can see lol!

I used :-
Image :- Digi from KennyK.
DP :- Bo Bunny.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Martha Stewart punch, retro punch and jewels.

I'm entering the following challenges :-
Simon Says Stamp :- Sketch.
Papertake Weekly :- Dies to die for.
Die Cut Dreams :- Pink, green and coffee.
Creative Card Crew :- Handmade Flowers.

I'll try to catch up later with everyone. This evening we are going to what they call in Aberdeenshire a wedding dance. My husband's boss's daughter gets married today and the reception is at a very expensive hotel in Aberdeen. Anyone local may have guessed it's the Marcliffe and probably the only time we'll ever be in there! This is our second wedding dance this year and next month we have a wedding.

My Desert Island Penny Black!

Hi everyone, I'm glad to have had a half day today and my day off tomorrow to craft! I'm so pleased to have my colleague back at work again after her holiday.

I've been a busy girl this afternoon. My friend came over and I made 2 cards. Now that is an achievement for me! I'm also well on the way to making another one. 3 cards in one day - almost unheard of lol!!

This is the first one using my favourite Penny Black snowman.

I used :-
Image :- Penny Black.
DP :- Bo Bunny.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment and card candy :- Craftwork Cards.
Martha Stewart snowflake punches, Glamour Dust and gems.

I had a bit of an oops moment there when I went to type sentiment and realised I hadn't added one!

I'm entering the following challenges with this card :-
Penny Black :- Desert Island Stamps - favourite Penny Black stamp.
Sketch Saturday :- Sketch.

I think I'll go and do some DT work before I make any more daft mistakes. I've got another card to show you but I think I'll do that tomorrow. I've already photographed it twice because I managed to cut a little bit off the top and of course I didn't notice till I downloaded it!

Just Cute Bears #26 Christmas in July.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend wherever you are and whatever the weather has been like! It has been a bit mixed here. Saturday was fine, but.......there were some little showers. Quite a fine evening here as I write on Saturday evening. A bit windy but at least I am indoors not trying to play golf like the guys taking part in the Open golf at St Andrews!!

Thanks to everyone who took part in our last challenge over at Just Cute Bears, as usual there were some gorgeous cards. This week our challenge is "Christmas in July." This should give you a wee start with your Christmas cards, unless of course you have been very good and been making one every week. No I haven't either! I made two at a crop yesterday but they're not for me to keep unfortunately. Anyway here's my card and I hope you like it. My talented teamies have made some gorgeous cards and they'd be delighted if you popped over to their blogs and left them a comment.

I used :-

DP :- Bo Bunny.

Image :- LOTV.

Colouring :- Promarkers.

Sentiment and card candy :- Craftwork Cards.

Viva Decor gloss pen for snowflakes, Stickles, jewels and ribbon.

I'm also going to enter a few challenges with this card :-

Lili of the Valley :- Sketch and image.

Cute Card Thursday :- Get a head start - Christmas card.

Passion for Promarkers :- Animals.

Pollycraft :- Bold and bright.

Teddy Stampers :- Whatever you like plus 2 of something (or multiplesof 2) - 2 presents, 4 card candies, 2 DPs.

Magical Crafts :- Christmas in July.

I think that's it then girls. I hope our challenge helps you to start your Christmas cards and I'm looking forward to seeing what you've made. There are so many talented people in blogland and it's a privilege to visit your blogs.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

Tigger!

Just a quick post tonight to show the card I made for the Friday Sketchers challenge. I did the bloghop the other day but I have been a bit slow about getting my card made for the challenge. It's been a bit of a funny day as mentioned in my previous post lol. Surely tomorrow will be better. This card will also fit the Creative Card Crew challenge which is distressing this week.

I think this could be a birthday card for a child although I have to admit to having a soft spot for Winnie the Pooh and his friends lol! Not sure if I like the card very much though!

I stamped the image twice and layered it with sticky pads for a bit of dimension. I coloured it with Promarkers and also coloured some card candy to match. I embossed some core'dinations Black Magic card with the cuttlebug and distressed it to show up the sentiments on it. My part circles are not very good because I'm not very good when it comes to drawing round plates lol! The DP is both sides of a piece of Bo Bunny paper. I finished off with some card candy from Craftwork Cards and some matching ribbon. Think that's all I can say about this card.

Thanks for looking and I'd love to hear what you think of this card.

Party 2010

Just a quick post with the card I should have finished last night and posted! I have to go to work in an hour (or probably less would be better) and yesterday it took about an hour to get the snow off my car especially the windscreen. Then to crown it all I was heading out the track from our house to the very narrow back road that leads to the main road when all the snow slid off the roof onto the windscreen so I had to stop and get rid of that. I just love winter......not"!!

I'm hoping to enter 3 challenges with this card. I coloured this cute PB image with Promarkers and cut it out with nesties. I also used my Cuttlebug to emboss "celebrate"which I then went over in silver pen as it wasn't showing up very well. I also used the bug to cut out the numbers which I decided to raise on foam pads. Not one of my best ideas as even the tiny foam pads are a bit big in places and I had to cut them. To crown it all the little paper covers were not too keen on coming off! I used some lovely Bo Bunny DP - it's lovely and bright and this is both sides of one sheet. The flowers were cut out from vellum and DP with a Martha Stewart punch and the card candy is from Craftwork Cards. And that's it really. Needless to say I did not get as much done yesterday as I had hoped but I have got some more tidying done and some today too. Still not really tidy though!!

The challenges I am entering are:-

Simon Says Stamp Challenge:- Party.
Truly Scrumptious:- Sketch and use vellum.
Penny Black:- Happy New Year.

Think I've just got time to post this and enter the challenges and then I really need to get a move on and go out and brave the snow!!!

So Cute!

Good evening girls I hope you have had a lovely weekend. It has been a lovely sunny, frosty day here. I made this card last night for a few challenges. I love Henry Mouse from Whiff of Joy, he is so cute. I still have special cards to do for my family but I like the colours of this one so much that I think I might keep it for my daughter and son-in-law. I already have one each for Poppy and Oliver so I just have 3 more special cards to make!

I bought this gorgeous glittery Bo Bunny DP last Saturday and it has taken me a week to use any of it. That's quite quick isn't it? I also used my favourite Cuttlebug snowflake and Martha Stewart snowflake, cut from glitter card, spotty ribbon and a lilac jewel. The card candy coloured with Promarker and the sentiment are from Craftwork Cards>. I also need to point out that you can't see from the photo any glitter on the pompom on his hat. That is because I forgot to add it before I took the photo. It's glittered now lol!

Do you like it? I'm really into easel cards now!! Long after everyone else. My reasoning is that I don't have to finish the inside or do an insert. I've actually made 3 more easel cards this afternoon and I've got the ideas and all the bits and pieces to put together to make another 8.

I'm entering the following challenges:-

Mojo Monday :- Sketch.
Whiff of Joy :- Whiff of Joy image and sparkle.
Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge :- non-traditional colours.
Colour Create :- Lilac or purple with aqua, black and white. Well they don't call me Lilackat for nothing LOL!!

Now I'm off to see how many more cards I can get made tonight. I'd really like to post tomorrow but I also need to iron so I'll just see what I can do. I can always post on Tuesday!!

Bye for now,

Kat xx

Friday!

Good morning girls - now that Mr Blogger has stopped being a pain! First of all I just want to show you a sympathy card I made for one of my elderly customers who has just lost her hysband. Kath was showing us some cards she had made with some new Hero Arts stamps she had bought from The Glitter Pot. So I had to have a look! I didn't have to buy any but of course I did lol!! Since this was for an elderly lady and her family I have kept it very simple.

I embossed a piece of Coredinations whitewash with the script folder and edged it with the same brown I used to stamp the sentiment. I added some pink to the other side of the card....I know it would have been simpler if I had used pink card! I added a piece of white edged with the MS scalloped lace punch and layered the sentiment on top. The flowers were coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment was also edged with a brown memento ink pad.

The next card is one I made following the sketch from the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Isn't this a cute stamp from Penny Black?
I did this close-up to show that I have embossing on my card for the Whimsy Challenge. I realise now I could have entered the previous card as it has more obvious embossing on it lol!

Can you see my embossing?

The other challenges I am entering are:-
Die Cut Dreams - Winter Wonderland.
Passion for Promarkers -Poppy and Forest Green. (Well how could I resist a challenge when one of the colours is Poppy?)
DP - Bo Bunny Tis the Season.
Nesties, Promarkers, EK Success punches, stickles and DecoArt Snow Writer. Brads from stash.
Since Mr Blogger was being a bit unhelpful earlier this morning I need to go and check out the Totally Gorjuss blog as we are due to post our second challenge today. I hope some of you will want to join us again this week.

I should be back later with my DT card!

Papertake Weekly 25

This is the last one.....honest! I've use Honey with present from Sugar Nellies and the lovely DP Tis the season from Bo Bunny again. She has been coloured with Promarkers and the card is finished off with some ribbon from my stash. This is a really useful sketch from Papertake Weekly. I'm sure I will be using it again.

So that's the last of my creations from the crop. Hope you liked (some of) them. I am really enjoying the new papers I have bought this year from MME and Bo Bunny. And yesterday I bought some new DP from Fancy Pants called Christmas Magic so you can expect to see it soon!!

Best go now and quickly check how tea is getting on. Roast beef yummm.

Enjoy the last remaining little bit of your weekend.

Sketch and Stash 20.

Good afternoon girls, today I would like to show you the cards I finished making at the crop yesterday. This one is for Sketch and Stash Challenge#20.

I coloured the lovely Honey with Present image from Sugar Nellies with my Promarkers. The papers are the gorgeous Bo Bunny Tis the Season. I love them they are so fresh and bright. I have to confess that for some obscure reason I made her hat and scarf and glove yellow and it was horrible - totally out of place, so I went over the top with powder blue to give a green similar to the base card. Iused a new Martha Stewart snowflake punch I bought at the crop and one I already had to punch out the snowflakes from glitter card. I added some Fired Brick distress ink to the snowflakes and finished off with some ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is from Penny Black and nesties were used to cut the circles.

Back soon with another card.

Another Christmas Card.

Well after wasting the entire morning, well not an entire waste. I went to Tesco briefly since my son is going to be staying for a couple of days this week again. I also went to the vet's and got worming tablets for the dogs - treat for them in a few minutes lol !! And of course I had to do the washing and get it outside.

Isn't this a great sketch from Truly Scrumptious and I even managed to do some doodling on it. I coloured the lovely winter Anya from the Greetings Farm with Promarkers. Isn't she lovely? I used some gorgeous Christmas DP from Bo Bunny - I love this paper. I decoupaged Anya's muff, earmuffs, pompoms of scarf, hem of coat and top of her boots and stickled them all too. I added some strips of ribbon and topped them with some buttons from my stash. Nearly forgot to mention that I had doodled round the image for the Truly Scrumptious challenge.

I hope you like this card and I have a few challenges to enter with it.

Truly Scrumptious:- Sketch and doodling.

A Spoon Full of Sugar:- Christmas.

Pile it on:- 3d.

Creative Card Crew:- Sparkle.

Charisma Cardz:- Decoupage.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge:- Red and green.

Anyone for Anya:- You're Anya.

I'm off to make tea now and sort out my washing to iron later (or maybe tomorrow!). See you all later if I can get time to check out some blogs.

Papertake Weekly 24

This is definitely my last post today....!I used the Papertake Weekly sketch to make this card at the crop yesterday. I watercoloured this cute House Mouse image and quite a few Penny Black Christmas images too. I made up this card as it was a lovely easy sketch to work with. This is my new Bo Bunny paper again. It is so lovely that it is easy to make a nice bright card. Great patterns and colours and I think it goes pretty well with the image. All I had to do was add some ribbon and jewels from my stash. Nice and quick, just what you need when you have a lot of Christmas cards to make. I still have one or two birthdays before the end of the year plus some new baby cards. I also have just the stamp for a big sister from Sugar Nellies!

Now I hope I have posted all the cards I meant to. I need to do some ironing before tomorrow. I have the day off tomorrow - luckily because I need to find something for tea. We usually have some roast beef left but my son arrived just at teatime. He did actually text me at lunchtime but needless to say I did not find it. We just needed some extra potatoes but we managed to all have enough to eat. I have a sneaky feeling I'm going to be seeing more of him than usual for the next few weeks. He lives and works in Aberdeen but is going to be working some of the time in Peterhead and since we live between the two I think he is going to be here some of the time - complete with his appetite of course lol!!

So that's me for the night. I've not even had a look at my blog updates yet but I have a day off tomorrow so I can have a bit of a browse then and maybe even get some more Christmas cards done since I am in the mood and I have such gorgeous MME and Bo Bunny papers.

Mojo Monday 105, Sophisticats 3 and Pink Elephant 33.

Good evening everyone. This is a quick card I made today for the Mojo Monday challenge using their lovely sketch. I used some of my new Bo Bunny papers - they are just gorgeous! I keep using them. I bought some when I was at a crop yesterday - but I already had a set of even more of them at home plus buttons, flowers etc lol. I watercoloured this cute little Penny Black hedgie and glittered his wings and halo. I added a snowflake I punched out of glitter paper and added jewels and ribbon from my stash. Just another view, I don't think the light this evening likes this shiny ribbon. Think the snowflake is even harder to see!

Earlier I made this card for the Pink Elephant challenge. As you can see I still love this paper and this was a great sketch to work with. I made this in the afternoon too. Isn't this a cute House Mouse image. I watercoloured it at the crop yesterday so I only had to decide what to do with it today. Again I added jewels and ribbon from my stash.I was really on a roll this afternoon. 3 cards in an afternoon - unknown! This is the amazingly gorgeous paper from MME - wonderful winter. It really is great making a card with such fabby papers. The snowflake is a beautiful one from Cuttlebug and the tag is also a Cuttlebug one. I love this sketch from the Sophisticat challenge at http://sophisticatchallenges.blogspot.com/ - it was really easy to use. I added a brad and ribbon from my stash.
Now I feel as if I have made a bit of progress with my Christmas cards. I still don't have many but another 4 is better than none. I've just realised that I forgot to post the Christmas card I made at the crop yesterday. I also have a sympathy card and I need to make another one.
I'll go now and see if I can remember what challenge I made the card for that I have still to post.
I might be back later lol!!

Midnight Madness.

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness to make this card. Sorry for the quality of the photo but I can't take decent photos in the evening. I used Promarkers to colour this lovely Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellies. The DP is from Bo Bunny. The girl's dress is actually lime green although it looks a bit yellowish here. I also coloured the jewel in her hair with lime promarker. I used a Fiskars punch to scallop the edge of the pale pink paper which is actually the other side of the main piece of DP. Buttons and ribbon from my stash.
Wednesday now - I've added another photo, taken this morning. I think it shows the colours more clearly!
Thanks for looking. I have the afternoon off now so I can start crafting early lol.

Stamptacular Sunday 18

I made this very quick card this afternoon for the Stamptacular Sunday challenge which is "Child's Play." I watercoloured the lovely Birthday Maggie image from Sugar Nellies. I've used Basic Grey paper on a pink card. The other little piece of DP is from Bo Bunny. I edged the Prima flowers with Stickles. Nesties were used to cut the ovals and I rounded all the corners with a corner punch. Flowers, brads, jewels and the two peeloff are from my stash.

We have had another lovely day here, in fact it has been really nice all week. In spite of this when I am at my work in the Post Office on Monday if it is not so nice all I will get all day is how horrible it is as if we had never had a fantastic week!! Sorry but it drives me nuts. Why can people not just be happy that the weather is neither too hot, nor too wet or whatever. An awful lot of countries are a lot worse off weatherwise than the UK. I'm just a target for everyone's moans in my job. Good job I'm a cheery wee soul lol.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for looking. By the way congrats to Clare (Little Bear) for her win in the Penny Black Saturday challenge.
