Four Challenges.

This is a very simple card but it is a different shape, not rectangular or square so I am entering it for the Stamptacular Sunday challenge.

I haven't achieved as much as I hoped today and I am going out tonight - to make cards at a friend's house. Next week I am not going to be a very good blogger as my colleague is on holiday and I have to work full time. It is only one full day and two half days extra but it means I do not get my day off!
I have not got so much done as I hoped because I have messed around for ages this morning trying to find suitable blues to make this card (below). I don't have a lot of blue, not because I don't like blue but just that I am very picky about whether patterns and colours fit together. I decided to use the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I wasn't sure if I would manage to get the left hand shaped piece to work but I am reasonably happy with it. I used the Paisley Cuttlebug folder to emboss a piece of blue core'dinations card. The paler blue is an anonymous scrap! The base card is a dark blue pearlised card from my local paper mill. The edge of the core'dinations is distressed and edged with blue. The lovely Daisy image from Sugar Nellies was watercoloured and the edge of the card distressed and edged with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The image was then mounted on core'dinations that had been through the Cuttlebug in the Swiss Dots folder. A lace strip was added to the left hand side and another piece under the image. I edged the flowers with a China Blue Promarker and added a blue brad. I was just about to add some blue jewels when I realised that if I added eyelets instead I could enter it in the Cute Card Thursday challenge! If the eyelets look wonky it is probably because they are LOL. I'm not sure if the card counts as "vintage" for the Colour Create challenge ? I'm not usually into vintage but I hope it will do.
Now I need to go and see if my chicken curry is ready. Thursday night is curry night in this house!
Thanks for looking and hope you like my efforts. Kat x
