Moving House.

Hi everyone, bit of a surprise me posting twice in two days. Bit of a surprise for me too!

I made this quick card for a former colleague who has just moved. She and her husband don't actually have a new home yet but they've put everything in storage and gone to live with their daughter. Their house sold very quickly and as her husband works offshore it limits the time they have to house hunt and they don't see any point in buying just for the sake of buying. I decided just to send a card now as if I wait too long her mail redirection might run out.

I love this image for a "New Home" card.

Image :- LOTV.
Sentiment :- Inca Stamp.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Baker's Twine :- Ribbon Girl.
Doodling :- Micron pen.
Tag punch and button.

Not sure this fits any challenges but if it does I'll come back and add them later.

Thanks for looking and if you've got time I'd love to hear what you think. It gets a bit lonely here when nobody visits me and leaves a comment!

Catch up later.

Totally Gorjuss 194 Christmas in July.

Hi everyone, I know it seems a bit funny to be talking about Christmas in July after all the warm weather we've been having. But at Totally Gorjuss we thought we'd ask you to make a Christmas card to give you a bit of a start with your cards. We all mean to be early but it doesn't always happen, does it?

I used :-
Image and sentiment :- LOTV.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Embossing :- Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.
Snowflakes :- Martha Stewart punch.
Ribbon, Glamour Dust and gems.

I'm going to schedule this now while I've got an internet connection. If I find any challenges I'll add them later.

Challenges :-
Papertake Weekly :- Dieing for a punch.
Cards for Men :- Christmas in July
ABC Christmas Challenge :- O is for Oh Christmas Tree.

By the way did I tell you our sponsors this week are The Ribbon Girl and Saturated Canary. So you have two chances to win!

Thanks for looking and I love to hear what you think. So if you've got a minute to spare I'd love to hear from you.

Catch you all later.

Totally Gorjuss 193 Fur-tastic.

Good morning everyone. How are you all enjoying this beautiful weather. I have to work most days so I haven't seen much of it except when I'm walking the dogs. One of them doesn't mind it too much but the other one is like a wet rag. He just spends his time lying on a cold floor!

to
This week at Totally Gorjuss we would like you to make a "Fur-tastic" card. That's right we'd like to see a furry animal (or more).

I used :-
Image :- House Mouse.
Sentiment :- SU. Cut out with a SU punch and layered on red cut out with another SU punch.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Pearls :- Hobby House..
Gingham ribbon from stash.
Embossing Folder :- Swiss Dots from Cuttlebug.

Challenge :-

Seize the Birthday Anything goes birthday celebrations.

I'm scheduling this post so I think I'm going to quit while I'm ahead here!

Thanks for looking and I'll catch you all later.

Totally Gorjuss 192 - Sweet.

Hi everyone, just a quick post with my DT card for Totally Gorjuss. This week our theme is "sweet." You could use an image with cake or sweets or maybe a sweet little girl image. I'm sure you can find your own sweet interpretation.

We're sponsored by the lovely people at Crafter's Companion so don't forget to pop over and see them. They have some new goodies on sale now.

So here's my quick and simple card.

I used :-
Image and sentiment :- Crazy for Cupcakes - an old set from Stampin' Up!
Colouring :- Stampin' Write markers.

I've got a crop at my local craft shop this afternoon so I'll be round to see what everyone's doing this evening.

Thanks for looking.

I don't know what Blogger is doing. I wrote this last night and scheduled it for 8am today. When I checked it wasn't posted so I went to my post list and it was scheduled for the second of August. Not sure how Blogger managed that! Second time I've been messed about in two days. I posted on the DT blog yesterday morning and found it was not posted later but still in draft form. I'm pretty annoyed about this!!! Grrr....

Not Another Baby Girl Card................!

'Fraid so! My daughter's in-laws have just become grandparents again to a baby girl. Their eldest son lives in the USA and his partner has just had a baby girl a few days ago. Poppy is quite excited about having a new little cousin!

Isn't it funny how you think, well I did, that using die cuts will be quicker than colouring an image. Not true! That pram is the devil to cut out. I had the die back and forward through my Cuttlebug a few times and it still had bits that weren't cut through. I cut out a few while I was there and the last one was just perfect..........till I broke the handle. Well I couldn't send a card with a pram with a broken handle to Poppy's other Gran and Grampa could I so I think this one is ok!

I used :-
Pram die :- Marianne.
Heart die :- Memory Box.
Pearls and nappy pin charm :- Hobby House.
Sentiment :- LOTV.
Ribbon and bakers' twine :- Ribbon Girl.
Heart doily from stash.

If I need any more baby cards I hope it's for boys! I've got plenty of baby boy cards in my box.

I think this might fit the challenge at Bunny Zoe's which is Pink and white.
And Charisma Cardz :- No DP.

Must go now and see if I can get my DT card made for Saturday.

Thanks for looking, catch up soon.....I hope!

Totally Gorjuss 191 - Anything Goes plus Circles.

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late with my card for the Totally Gorjuss challenge this week. Last night when I went to schedule my post my broadband connection was so bad that I couldn't get online. I was just lucky to get online long enough to post over at the DT blog!

This week we'd like to see "Anything Goes plus Circles." Isn't that easy? I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of you joining us this week. We're sponsored by J&C Creations and you know what lovely goodies they have to tempt you!

This week I've got the 3rd Silver Wedding Anniversary card I've made in the last few weeks. I guess Summer 1988 must have been a popular time for weddings! This one is for one of the girls at work whose Anniversary is on Tuesday. She's quite funny! She says she doesn't know how she's managed to put up with her hubby for 25 years but anyone who knows her knows it's the other way round. She might have a point!

I used :-
Sentiment :- Rubber Stampede.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Flowers :- Nellie Snellen punches.
Embossing Folders :- Cuttlebug.
Nesties and ribbon.
Touch of colour :- Stampin' Write marker.

Challenges :-
As You Like It :- Favourite 3 embellishments and why. Pearls, ribbon and flowers. I love all 3 as they're individually or together a simple way to lift a card.

Thanks for looking and I'll be visiting my favourite blogs later, broadband permitting!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Big Brother.

Hi everyone my broadband is being a bit iffy tonight so I'll be brief. I've just finished my Tesco shopping and that was not a lot of fun with the connection being so slow.

Recently the last of the three girls at work who became a Granny within a few weeks had a new granddaughter. So her little grandson became a big brother. I thought it would be nice to make a card specially for him. So this is it.

I used :-
Image :- Sugar Nellies.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- Craft Creations.
Sentiment :- Hero Arts and Stampin' Up!
Card Candy :- Craftwork Cards.

Challenges :-
Sugar Bowl :- Anything Goes.
Stampin for the Weekend :- Anything Goes.

I'm off to catch up with my DT work now.

Thanks for looking and all your lovely comments.

Totally Gorjuss 190 - Wings.

Good morning everyone, it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week our theme is "wings." I've chosen to use butterflies on my card this week.

Here it is.

I used :-
Sentiment :- Rubber Stampede.
Butterflies :- Papillon Potpourri from SU cut out with SU punches.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Ribbon from stash.

I made this card for my lovely niece and her husband who will celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversary on the 1st of July. Yeah I know difficult to believe I'm old enough to have a niece who's been married 25 years lol! My brother is 9 years older than me so I was quite young when Angela was born.

Sorry the photo isn't very good. I should have checked it before I posted it but it's on it's way to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis now.

Challenges :-
Creative Card Crew :- No DP.
Simon Says Stamp :- Anything Goes.
Cute Card Thursday :- Fly Like a Bird.
Addicted to CAS :- Take Flight.
Crafting When We Can :- Keep it Simple.

I've now got another Silver Wedding Anniversary card to make. One of the girls at work celebrates hers on the 9th of July. So that'll be three in a row. 1988 must have been a popular year for weddings.

I may be a bit missing in action this week. We're meeting my daughter and her family this afternoon to collect her dogs. They're off to the Lake District for a few days and the dogs are coming to us instead of going into kennels. That means 4 Labradors instead of our own "gruesome twosome." Not sure how this is going to work out!! So if you don't see me around you'll know why. Between all these dogs and working full time again next week I might be a bit busy!!

Thanks for looking and I'm looking forward to hearing what you think. I'll try to catch up later.

Totally Gorjuss 189 - Happy Birthday.

Good morning everyone, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I'm just relieved to have a day and a half off before two weeks full time working!! My colleague is off to Rhodes this morning for two weeks. Lucky her. I'm definitely not looking forward to this next fortnight. The worst part is the boredom during the quiet times when I keep thinking about all the things I could be doing if I wasn't stuck in the Post Office!!

But enough of my moaning! It's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. We have a theme you all like this week....Happy Birthday! Even better we have two sponsors, The Ribbon Girl and Whoopsi Daisy so you have two chances to win!

I've had to make a quick card this week, thanks LOTV, as I've been a bit busy. Last night was my WRI car treasure hunt so I had to buy raffle prizes, organise prizes and a gift voucher for the person who made up the treasure hunt. Not to mention baking. My friend has a nasty cold and chest infection and wasn't up to going so I did her baking too. I do love baking though so it wasn't a chore! We had a successful night even if we had fewer cars than normal and it was fun. My husband and I didn't fall out (we usually do) so that was a bonus! I was also out on Thursday evening to a concert by the well known Scottish singer Fiona Kennedy. She's a beautiful singer and the other singer with her was a very talented 13 year old boy from Aviemore called Ruairidh McDonald. It was a great evening and we really enjoyed it. Ruaridh sings a song about Lady the famous Osprey at the Loch of the Lowes near Dunkeld in Perthshire.  If you'd like to see Lady she has her own webcam where you can see her chick - her 50th. She's a very old girl, reckoned to be about 27 which is apparently very old for an Osprey.

Anyway enough waffle, here's my card.

It's very late on Friday evening so I'll come back later and tell you what I used.

Here I am again.

I used :-
Image and sentiment :- LOTV.
Image cut out with a nestie and outlined with a Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Ribbon and Glamour Dust.

Challenges :-
Cute Card Thursday :- In the Summertime.
Lili's Little Fairies :- In the Garden.
Crafting When We Can :- Mad about Markers.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and thanks for looking.

Totally Gorjuss 188 - For Dad.

Good morning everyone. Hope it's going to be another nice day, but you never know, do you? It's been a lot better this week than I thought it was going to be.

Edited to add - thanks for not posting this at 8am this morning Mr Blogger. I suppose 7.03pm is better late than never!!

This week at Totally Gorjuss our theme is "For Dad." This could be a Father's Day card or just a birthday card, it's up to you.

Here's what I made.

I used :-
Image and DP :- LOTV.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment :- Stampin' Up! cut out with a Stampin' Up! punch matted on dark blue cut out with another Stampin' Up! punch.
Faux stitching :- black gel pen.

Challenges :-

Freshly Made Sketches

Oldie but a Goodie :- Stitching. I think my DP is older than 6 months old.
Addicted to Stamps and More :- Addicted to CAS.

I'm scheduling this as I never have enough time on a Saturday morning and since I've spent what seems like hours writing this post I'm going to quit while I'm ahead now!

I'm going to a crop after work so I'll try to catch up with you all later if my broadband connection allows me.

Thanks for looking and for the lovely comments you leave me.

Special Silver Wedding Anniversary Card.

Last Tuesday I was at a knit and crochet (and chat) group in the church hall. I can do both but some people wanted to learn to crochet so I swapped my Tuesday afternoon at work for Tuesday morning. I wasn't sure how many people wanted to learn but I thought probably the more people who could crochet the better. It was nice to be able to help anyone that needed help and have a chat and coffee. One of the other ladies is a cardmaker too but she asked if I would make a special "fancy" silver wedding card for her daughter and son-in-law. I was a bit surprised and a bit nervous but said I would give it a go. I know her taste in cards is not mine but I thought it would be a challenge! The only snag was that was the 4th and the anniversary is the 10th!! I was at work as usual on Wednesday, out to a blood donor session and then shopping with my daughter for her birthday on Thursday and then it was my evening for crafting with friends. Friday I thought I really needed to do some housework and of course I needed my DT card for Totally Gorjuss.

I made a start on Friday evening and got some bits ready to put together. I had various ideas and discarded them! So on Saturday I knew I had to get it finished. Needless to say it didn't turn out as I expected it to. And funnily enough I liked it. In fact I decided that if she didn't need/want it any more I could keep it for my niece's anniversary in July.

She loved it so I guess I'll need to make another card for Angela!

I was asked for a big card and I usually make slightly smaller than 6" cards or smaller. Luckily I have a box of various sizes of scalloped cards I bought from QVC ages ago.

So this is it!

I used :-
Sentiment :- Serendipity.
Die :- Stampin' Up! Flowers are hiding the lovely shape.
Daughter & Son-in-law :- compueter generate cut out with a Nestie.
Flowers :- Nellie Snellen punches.
Embossing folder :- Couture Creations - Tied together.
Lace :- Ribbon Girl.
Lovely sparkly silver paper and pink card :- Stampin' Up!
Pearls from stash, silver embossing powder.

What do you think? I think it was fancy enough for my customer but not too extreme for my taste!!

Challenges :-
Fussy and Fancy :- Bling it on.
Totally Papercrafts :- Punches & dies - more than 3. I used 3 punches for the flowers and 2 dies for the sentiments.
Gem of a Challenge :- Emboss it.

Well I'd best go and do my ironing now. What an exciting life I lead!

Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments.

Totally Gorjuss 187 - Hey Baby.

I'm really annoyed! I had almost finished this post when it decided to delete itself. Not sure whether it's my pesky keyboard that sometimes does weird things or what happens! Since I'm typing this late on Friday evening I'm quite fed up now!

This week at Totally Gorjuss our theme is "Hey Baby." This suits me perfectly as I've used a few baby cards recently so another one won't go wrong. So far it's been girl cards I've used so I've made another one. I've used one of my favourite dies. It can be tricky to use but it always looks impressive.

I used :-
DP :- Craft Creations.
Pram :- Marianne die.
Sentiment :- LOTV.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Ribbon from stash and Spellbinders die.

I'm going to quit while I'm ahead here but don't forget to pop over to Crafter's Companion and check out what you could spend your voucher on if you win this week.

Thanks for looking and please let me know what you think if you have a minute to spare. I'll be around to see what you've all be doing after work today.

My Favourite Stamp.

Good afternoon everyone, I hope it's as lovely a day where you are as it is here in Aberdeenshire. I've got the day off as it is a local holiday here and the sun has shone all day. Fantastic! I haven't achieved a lot but it's been lovely and relaxing.

I noticed that the As You Like It challenge want you to use your favourite stamp and say why. Well I just love this image and if you visit me occasionally I'm sure you'll have seen a version of it at least once before. There are two images in this set, the other one is narrower and the flowers are not as open. I love them both. They're easy to colour. You can use Promarkers, Distress Markers, watercolour pencils, colour the stamp directly with markers, the choice is yours. They're also great to paper piece. So what stamp is it?................

Here it is! Do you love it too?

I used :- Hero Arts - Delicate Blossoms.
Sentiment :- SU Wacky Wishes.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Ribbon from stash, Stickles.

Other challenges :-
Stamping Sensations :- Summer Blooms.
ABC :- O for Open ie anything goes.
Gem of a Challenge :- Summertime.
Created with Love :- Anything Goes.
Totally Papercrafts :- Anything Goes.

Well I'm off to walk my dogs now and make tea.

Thanks for looking and catch you all later.

Shhhh.... don't tell anyone!

I've sneaked away from my housework for a few minutes to write this post. I've been wondering what image I could use to enter the challenge at Less is More. I thought of Penny Black and House Mouse straight away. So I decided on this image from Penny Black that always makes me laugh. If you've ever had anything to do with sheep, as I have, it would definitely make you laugh too.

I used :-
Image :- Woolly Dames from Penny Black.
Sentiment :- Penny Black clear set.
Colouring :- Promarkers.

I'd also like to enter the challenge at Penny Black which is anything goes.

Well I'm off to finish my housework and have my lunch before I have to go to work.

Thanks for looking and see you later.

Blooms and Butterflies.

Hi everyone. I don't know what it's like where you are but after a miserable start it's turned into a beautiful day here in Aberdeenshire. Lucky me since it's my day off! I've just had a lovely walk with my dogs. Unusual to be out without a hat and gloves so a welcome change.

Today I was inspired by Vicky who showed two lovely cards on her blog today. This is my take on her cards.

I used :- Stamps from SU :- Papillon Potpourri and Secret Garden.
Sentiments :- SU Wacky Wishes.
DP :- LOTV.
Flower and stem stamps coloured with Stampin' Write markers.

Challenges :-
Addicted to Stamps and More :- Make your mark. Flower card above.
Addicted to CAS :- Birthday. Flower card.
Allsorts :- Happy Birthday. Flower card.

Well I'm off to have a browse around the blogs now.

Thanks for looking and as usual thanks to everyone who takes time to leave me a comment.

For a Baby Girl.

I thought I'd show you the other baby card I made on Monday night to give my colleague a choice. I really like white on white for baby cards and this one has just a touch of pink for a girl.

I used :-
Dies :- Memory Box and Marianne.
Sentiment :- LOTV.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Embossing folder :- Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.
The pink hearts are waste from punching out a border using a Martha Stewart punch.
Lace from Ribbon Girl.

Challenges :-
Fussy and Fancy :- Lace and Pearls.
Simon Says Stamp :- Anything Goes.
Creative Card Crew :- Use punches/dies.

Well tomorrow is my day off and I'm not going anywhere at all so I'm hoping to get some crafting done and possibly some crochet and knitting.

Thanks for looking and I'll do some catching up with my favourite blogs tomorrow.

Babies, babies everywhere!

Two new baby girls last week! On Tuesday one of the girls who works in the shop became a Grandma again  to her 4th granddaughter. Then on Saturday the girl who used to work with me in the post office became a grandma for the first time to a little girl too. I gave Carol a grandparents card which she loved. Yesterday she asked if I would make one for Annette as she couldn't find anything nice in the shop. I found 2 cards in my box and made another two last night. She chose one that I had already made with a lovely LOTV image so I used another one with a sweet LOTV image for Annette and this one for her daughter and son-in-law.

I used :-
Pram :- Marianne die.
Sentiment :- LOTV.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
DP :- Forever Friends.
Martha Stewart punch, ribbon from stash.

Not sure if you can see the DP very well, it's quite a pretty pale pink colour with text all over it. I love that pram but it can be quite tricky to cut out. And if you get it cut out safely and then tear it getting it out of the die it's a wee bit annoying lol!

I'll show you the other one I made tomorrow. I think it might be my favourite.

Thanks for looking, hope you like it. Catch up with you all tomorrow.

Woof, Woof!

Hi everyone, I'm here a bit later than planned. As usual! Last night I was all set to schedule this post for this morning but thanks to my miserable broadband connection I couldn't even get online. Grrrrr.... But here I am now with an extremely simple, easy card. I got this new Labrador die in the post on Friday and thought I'd make a card with it and enter the challenge at Less is More. But of course I was too late so I thought I'd put it on on Sunday morning. Oh well it's here now! Famous last words, it's now about 3 hours since I started this post. My connection was so bad this afternoon that I couldn't upload my photo!!

Success at last! I suppose that's a penalty of living in the country, you are privileged to pay the same for your  broadband but a lot of the time you can't get online!

I used:-
Labrador die cut :- Poppy Stamps (Memory Box).
Sentiment :- Stampin' Up!
Nestabilities, ribbon from stash.

Not sure it fits any challenges but I couldn't resist using this lovely new die.

Found some!
Stampin' for the Weekend :- Monochrome.
Crafting When we Can :- Use punches or die cuts.
Crafty Ribbons :- Anything Goes with Ribbon.
CAS on Sunday :- Make it masculine.

Thanks for looking. Hope everyone's having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Needless to say I have to work on Monday but I have the next Monday off so I'm looking forward to that.

Totally Gorjuss 185 - Just Because!

Good morning everyone. Hope the weather's a bit better now for the Bank Holiday weekend. Needless to say I'm not on holiday on Monday :-(  But looking on the bright side I'm off the next Monday as it's a local holiday in my part of Aberdeenshire. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, a bit windy but not too bad! Thursday was my day off and my friend and I went off craft shopping. We only got caught in one hail shower  but it was windy and cold and showery. When I took the dogs out about 5pm it was really wet and even windier. I was soaked right through! I'm sure my jacket was still damp when we went out on Friday morning.

But we don't need to think about holidays or weather at Totally Gorjuss this week. Our challenge is very easy, it's "Just Because." That should give you plenty of scope to use your imagination!

Here's what I came up with this week.

I used :-
Image and DP :- LOTV.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment and punches :- Stampin' Up!
Ribbon and Bakers' Twine :- Ribbon Girl.
Pearls :- Hobby House.
Buttons from stash.

I realised when I was colouring this cute image that I'm really bad at colouring!! I think I should stick to things that need little or even no colouring. I think I've made a bit of a mess of this one.

Challenges :-
Passion for Promarkers :- Anything Goes.
Lili's Little Fairies :- Spots and Stripes.
Charisma :- Here comes Summer - must be Summer, he's zooming about in an open top car!
Addicted to Stamps and More :- Anything Goes.

Well I've got work this morning so I'll see you all later.

Thanks for looking and I love to read your comments so please leave me on if you have a minute to spare.

I'm Late!!!

I'm a bit late with this so no waffling today!

I used :-
Image and DP :- LOTV.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment :- Stampin' Up!
Glamour Dust, Dienamics Fishtail Flags die, 2 Stamping' Up punches for sentiment and button from stash.

Challenges :-
Lili's Little Fairies. :- Thank you.

I'll be back later with the sketch challenge details as this one ends soon!

Isn't this a great sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Loving that boat!

Good morning everyone, can't believe it's Saturday again already! It's been quite hectic since last Saturday. Even with a day off on Monday I've not achieved very much! I've never taken a day off work on my birthday before but I think I'll do it again! Then on Thursday I had Messy Church so that took up most of my day and of course I was shattered at night! On the bright side though that's the last one till September. I do enjoy it but it can be a bit of a strain trying to think up something the kids will enjoy doing. And more importantly something they can do easily as some of them are quite young.

Anyway it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week the theme is "Water, water." We'd like to see some water on your card or project. I wasn't sure I had an image that fitted the theme then I remembered this little cutie. Not sure about the water. It looks a bit weird because my favourite pale blue Promarker is running out.

I used :-
Image and DP :- LOTV.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment :- Stampin' Up! cut out with a punch also from SU.
Bakers' Twine :- Ribbon Girl.
Ribbon and buttons from stash.

Challenges :-

Seize the Birthday :-sketch

LOTV monthly challenge :- Boy oh Boy.

I've got a crop this afternoon after work so I'll try to catch up tonight.

Thanks for looking and if you've got time to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Mini Bear.

Hi everyone. You wouldn't think I'd had a day off today when I'm ending up posting at this time of day. I had so much catching up to do and I even read the papers. And of course I had lots of texts to reply to with everyone sending me happy birthday wishes. I think I'm up to date now but I feel a bit lazy having only made one very simple card.

My family were all here at the weekend, only from Saturday afternoon till Sunday afternoon but it was a bit hectic. With 6 adults, two children and 4 Labradors it felt quite busy. All three of my children had gone together and paid for our meal and my presents. One of my birthday presents was a posh bag from Joules. Just after Catriona and family left I picked up the bag to take it through to my bedroom. When I looked inside Poppy's favourite Winnie the Pooh was inside. It's one of those sort of comfort blankets. I gave her it when she was a  baby. It's just a head with a sort of blanket type body and four paws. She has a few of them and Oliver has a few Tiggers the same. Needless to say she needed it Catriona said when we sent her a text! So I said I'd post it. For a bit of fun I took photos of him doing various things like helping to fold my washing, watching me ironing and having a nap in the bed Poppy slept in here. Then today he had to go in a padded envelope with some chocolate buttons, go in the car, get weighed at the post office and the last pic was my colleague putting the envelope in the mail bag! Poppy really liked getting the photos and reading what he was doing. I think he'll probably turn up in Crieff tomorrow!

I don't think this card has  turned out as it was in my head. Maybe I should have used a different colour to stamp the image and sentiment. What do you think? I'm not really happy with this card but it's done now!

I used :-
Image and sentiment :- LOTV.
Cardstock :- Stampin' Up! Pool Party.
Ink :- SU Pool Party.
I pierced round the edge using the SU Essentials Paper-Piercing pack.

Challenges:-

CAS Monday with LOTV :- CAS LOTV card.
Daring Cardmakers :- Ink it up.
Totally Papercrafts :- CAS.
Less is More :- Coloured card blank. One layer.
Addicted to Stamps and More :- Addicted to CAS.

That's me now I think. I'm watching that fantastic programme about the Hebrides. It's narrated by Ewan McGregor and the photography is amazing. The scenery and wildlife are just stunning. I don't know if it's networked or just showing in Scotland but don't miss it it's just as good as all these programmes from exotic places. The underwater filming is incredible. The underwater reefs are really spectacular. Crikey you'd think I worked for the Visit Scotland or something!

Anyway thanks for looking and thanks to everyone for happy birhday/anniversary wishes. I'm not really sure where 37 years disappeared to!

Well so they say! What I mean is tomorrow is my Wedding Anniversary and birthday. When we were going to get married 37 years ago the minister thought it would be nice to get married on my birthday! I suppose if hubby forgets one he forgets both lol! Anyway here's the card I made for him yeserday. And it's sitting next to the birthday cards I've already got ready for him to open tomorrow. Usually I'm finishing it late on the 12th. I thought I'd best be organised since everyone was here this weekend. Catriona and her husband and kids and dogs left after lunchtime so that Poppy would have time to do her homework and Iain and Mhairi left soon after them. Then we went to Tesco to get a Tesco finest meal for two and then went for an ice cream. Quite different from the fantastic meal we had at our favourite Indian restaurant. My son-in-law thinks it's the best one anywhere!

So here's the card - I hope, since as I'm writing this my connection is so bad that I can't upload my photo. Fingers crossed I'll be able to do it soon before I lose my temper with it. Too late I'm already pretty annoyed!

I used :-
Circle Burst die :- Memory Box.
Hearts :- Stampin' Up! Fashionable Hearts Embosslits.
Husband :- Hero Arts
Happy Anniversary :- Rubber Stampede.

I need to go and catch up with what's going on blogland as I didn't get a chance to do anything yesterday before everyone came. I did take the morning off yesterday but I went to a Christian Aid coffee morning instead. I usually miss any coffee mornings in the village as I work every Saturday so it was nice to go and have a chat and a coffee. I even won a prize in the raffle. There were a lot of prizes and a couple of people won more than one!

Thanks for looking and I'm hoping to get some quality crafting time tomorrow!

I'd love to hear from you if you've got a minute to spare.

And last but not least I've done a lot of housework. My family are all coming at the weekend and we're having a meal at our favourite Indian restaurant. Today is my brother's birthday, he's nine years and 2 days older than me. I've even taken the day off on Monday for a change. Totally Gorjuss 182 - Anyhing Goes with Swirls.

Good morning everyone, I hope you're all fine this Bank Holiday weekend.  It's been very windy and cold this week, even on sunny days it's been very cold. So I hope it starts to get a bit warmer now.

But it's Saturday so it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week it is "Anything goes with swirls." So you could emboss your swirls like I did, or stamp them or use some of the lovely die cut swirls that are around. We're sponsored by J&C Creations so don't forget to pop over there for a browse.

Here's what I made :-

:

I used :-
Image :- Penny Black.
Colouring :- Stampin' Write Markers.
DP :- LOTV.
Embossing Folder :- Cuttlebug Divine Swirls.
Pearls :- Hobby House.

I love the watercolour effect. It comes solely from the stamp. All I did was colour it with 2 shades of pink and 2 shades of green. No watercolouring involved.

Hope you likey.
