Love this new die!

Typical isn't it, just when I decide to write a new post my internet connection is so poor that I couldn't do anything. So I did my ironing instead!

I got a new Marianne die and I couldn't resist using it. These cards are quite simple but somehow it took ages to make the first one, the baby girl card. Probably because I spent time cutting out and embossing prams in white, pink and blue. I also cut out a few swirly corners in different colours.

I used :-
Pram :- Marianne die.
Swirly corners :- Memory box.
Blue corners :- punch.
Sentiments :- LOTV.
Flowers :- Tonic punches.
Card candi :- Craftwork Cards.
Glamour Dust, bakers twine, buttons, pearls and Spellbinders M-Bossabilities.

Not sure they've photographed very well but the embossing looks really nice in real life and I'm quite pleased with them.

I'd like to enter the following challenges :-
Paperplay :- Monochrome plus ribbon.
Creative Card Crew :- Ribbon.

Thanks for looking and I hope you've all had a good weekend. We've been very lucky and had lovely weather, windy and cold but sunny and bright. I know some of you girls south of the border have had horrible weather but at least it's good for crafting. Until Saturday the weather was quite unpleasant here too. Hope it's better next week for us all.

Totally Gorjuss 129 - Congratulations.

Good morning everyone. It's the weekend at last and I hope the weather's better than it's been this week. Rain, wind, cold, in fact just horrible!

But it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. We have a nice easy challenge for you this week. We'd like you to make a Congratulations card so that gives you plenty of scope. I've chosen to make a new baby card this week.

I used :-
Image :- LOTV die cut, cut out with a nestie.
Sentiment :- LOTV.
Embossed background :- Spellbinders M-Bossabilities.
Swirls :- Memory Box.
Flowers :- Tonic punches.
Card Candi :- Craftwork Cards.
Glamour Dust, pearls & Promarker.

Not sure if there are any challenges for this card as I've had it made for a week - early for once!! I'll check for challenges after work.

Simon Says Stamp :- Anything Goes.
Creative Inspirations :- Anything Goes.

I've taken a notion for embossing folders and die cuts recently so you can expect to see more cards in this style soon. Here's a peek of two I'm going to post tomorrow.

Thanks for looking and I'll see what everyone's up to this afternoon.

We're going to the theatre this evening. I decided on Tuesday that I'd order tickets for Saturday. Isn't it expensive?!! And we don't even go to the dear seats! We're going to see "The Steamie" at his Majesty's in Aberdeen. Scottish bloggers might recognise this as it's been on TV a few times. It was first performed 25 years ago but it's still really funny so I'm really looking forward to seeing it on stage.

Edited to add :- drat stupid blogger, this is the second week my scheduled post hasn't been posted on time! Grrrr....

Christmas in April??!!!

Hi everyone from a very wet and windy Aberdeenshire! I'd like to stay indoors and keep warm but I know the dogs will want to go out before tea. Sometimes on my day off I'm not very early taking them out but I think I'll take them out early and get it over with!

Yesterday afternoon I was crafting with my friend and made a couple of cards. I thought it would be good to make a Christmas card for a change. I may have as many as three now lol!

I used :-
Image :- LOTV die cut.
DP :- MME.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Snowflakes & icicle border :- Martha Stewart punches.
Glamour Dust, buttons, twine and gems.

I'm entering the following challenges:-
Papertake Weekly :- Sketch.
Winter Wonderland :- Buttons and Bows.
Christmas Card Throwdown :- Snowflakes.
Secret Crafter :- Inspired by a film - White Christmas.
Cute Card Thursday :- Animal Magic.

Well I'm off to make myself a nice cup of coffee and since it's my day off I'm going to have a KitKat.

Thanks for looking and I'll try to pop round some of my favourite blogs and challenges later.

Totally Gorjuss 128 - Boys' Toys.

Good morning everyone and I think I'll keep this short. I had this post almost finished and then the whole thing vanished. Don't you just love this new layout for writing posts? Not!!

This week at Totally Gorjuss our theme is "Boys' Toys." We're sponsored by Heather's Hobbie Haven so don't forget to pop over there for a look.

I used :-
Image and sentiment :- LOTV.

DP :- MME Everyday Flair.
Card Candi :- Craftwork Cards.
Button, twine, star punch & Sakura clear, glitter gel pen. Glossy Accents on lights.

I'll come back later to add the challenges I'm going to enter as it's late now (on Friday evening) and I'm too narked to write any more now.

Well so much for writing this up late last night so that I could schedule it for this morning. Thanks to this new Blogger it didn't post!

Here's my challenges :-

Totally Gorjuss 127 - Bling it on.

Good morning everyone and Saturday seems to have come round quite quickly this week. I've not been online much as I've been quite busy with my fundraiser cards. I've managed to do a bit of visiting my favourite blogs and kept up with my DT work but that's about it!

Anyway it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week our challenge is "Bling it on." We'd like to see some bling on your work. I think most of us like bling so feel free to use as much as you like!

Oops guess who forgot to say that we are sponsored by the lovely people at Crafters Companion. Smacked fingers for me!

Here's my blingy card.

I used :-
Image :- Hobby Art.
Sentiment :- Hero Arts.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Glamour Dust, Sakura clear, glitter gel pen, pearls.

I'm entering the following challenges :-
St Lukes Charity Card Challenge :- Bling.
Pink Elephant :- Flowers.
Cupcake :- Spring is in the air.
Everybody Art :- Spring.
Crafty Creations :- Flower Power.
Cute Card Thursday :- Spring Flowers.

I hope it's a bit warmer this weekend than it has been the last few days. Still at least it's an excuse to stay in and craft.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you've got planned and I'll try to catch up later.

Totally Gorjuss 126 - Sketch.

Good morning everyone, I'm a bit late this morning because when I scheduled this weeks post I added the wrong card. When I realised and switched on my laptop to change the post my broadband connection had gone walkabout! So I decided to use my ipad but it wouldn't allow me to change the post as I wasn't connected through broadband! So I deleted it and hoped to have time to post this morning.

This week at Totally Gorjuss we have a lovely sketch for you to use. As usual for our sketch we are sponsored by the lovely Joanna Sheen.

And here's my take on it.

I used :-
Image & sentiment :- LOTV.
DP :- Craft Creations.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Flower punch, pearls and Glamour Dust.

I'd like to enter the following challenges :-
Papertake Weekly :- Anything goes, option monotone.
Simon Says Stamp :- Use favourite tool - Cuttlebug.
Totally Papercrafts :- Bingo - I used pink, glitter and pearls.

Now I'd best get a move on as I'm off to GJWTHF with Kath, Debbi and Anne.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the Easter weekend whatever you've got planned especially if you've got the day off on Monday. I have to work as our holiday is always the first Monday in April.

Catch you later.

It's me again!

Yes it's me again, twice in the one day! Not like me at all but I have another card for Less is More. As I said before I was really inspired by the photo inspiration this week. This card was made using the image I thought of first when I saw the challenge this week. This is the second attempt. If you know me you wouldn't be surprised if I told you that I put another card down on top of it forgetting about the wet, black Stickles flower centres!! I managed to get the image and mats off without any damage and added them to another card.

I used :-
Image and sentiment :- Hero Arts.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Stickles.

I've got another four cards inspired by this challenge but I think that would be overkill, especially since the challenge closes in a wee while.

Thanks for looking, I'm off to schedule my Totally Gorjuss DT card, catch up with my commenting and visiting my favourite blogs as I'm out all day tomorrow at GJWTHF. I'm really looking forward to it!

I should really be cleaning but........!

I've just sneaked on here when I should be cleaning so I'd best make this short!

I was inspired by the challenge at Less is More and since I had a day off on Monday cos it was a local holiday I did some colouring after I'd made a couple of cards. I managed to get some crafting done yesterday and ended up making six cards. The photo inspiration and colours really inspired me.

So here's one of them.

I used :-
Image & sentiment :- Hero Arts.
Colouring :- Promarkers.

Thanks for looking and I'd best go and finish hoovering and cleaning the en-suite. What an exciting life I lead! Even better I'm working this afternoon. Can life get any better? Still I'm going to GJWTHF tomorrow, so that's something to really look forward to.

Catch up later. I might even pop back with another card!

Thursday, 5 April 2012

Well it was ok in the end!!!

I made an Anniversary card for my friend last week. Somehow I managed to mess up the insert but as it turned out I had managed to make the card upside down! So I decided to make an easel card instead. Still managed to mess up though as I nearly posted it without taking a photo. Not sealed though so I used my phone to take a photo instead. Problem solved....... well no not really since I got that wrong too and it wouldn't upload! Luckily my friend lives locally and she brought the card round yesterday so I got my photo at last.

I used :-
Sentiment :- LOTV.
Hearts :- Martha Stewart punch and a small Woodware punch.
Flower :- Magnolia Doohickey die.
DP :- First Edition - Spring Drop.
Pearls, Promarkers and Glamour Dust.

I'm entering the following challenges :-
Dream Valley :-Wedding/Love.
The Pink Elephant :- Clean and Simple.

Well it's still really cold here and I hope the snow keeps going away. It was frosty first thing when I took the dogs out so the places that were wet yesterday were slippy today and the snow that was left was frozen. Not really the best situation when you're trying to hold onto two big, strong dogs!!

Thanks for looking and I really look forward to hearing what you think.

"Born to Be Wild!"

Do you think this hedgie look as if he's "Born to Be Wild?" I think he does have a bit of a wild look in his eye!

I had a day off on Monday so I thought I'd get some crafting done. The challenge at Penny Black this week is "Sing a long." As soon as I saw this image I knew I could enter the challenge.

I used :-
Image :- Penny Black.
Music background :- Penny Black coloured with Distress Inks.
DP :- Craft Creations.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Card Candi :- Craftwork Cards.
Sentiment :- Hero Arts.

I'm entering the following challenges :-
Penny Black :- Sing-a-long.
Sir Stampalot :- Happy Birthday.
Joannsa Sheen Challenge :- It's a Man's World.
Cards For Men :- The Great Outdoors.

I had quite a lazy day yesterday. It was really nice just to play around with some stamps and just see what happened. I even got my DT card made for Saturday.

Thanks for looking and for any kind comments you have time to leave. I like to read what you think about my efforts!

Does Oliver like chocolate.....?

Silly question! Of course Oliver likes chocolate. I decided to make a gift bag for his little Easter eggs. I made the double pocket one from Splitcoast Stampers that I've made before a few times. The little eggs fit in it very well but not the bubbles. I forgot to say yesterday that I'd bought bubbles as well as Easter eggs as Poppy loves bubbles. I'm not sure if Oliver likes blowing bubbles but I expect if Poppy likes them he will too and if not she can have them.

I couldn't really make his gift bag to match his card as the DP on his card was only 6"x6" and I needed a piece of 12"x12" for the bag so I tried to use similar colours. I did use the same image though.

I used :-
Image :- Elzybells.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- DCWV.

As you can see from the photo below Oliver's bag doesn't really match his card except for the image! I don't suppose he'll mind, he'll probably only be interested in the chocolate!

I'm going to enter the following challenges with the gift bag :-
Paperplay :- Easter.
Totally Papercrafts :- Easter.
Charisma :- Easter.
Craft Your Days Away :- Easter.

I'm really looking forward to a day off today. Monday is not my favourite day to work, not because it's Monday but just because I have to work all day! This is going to be a good week for me time....I hope! Monday off, Wednesday my half day, Thursday my day off and Saturday a day off to go to Girls Just Want to Have Fun at the Papeterie. A day of fun and crafting with Kath, Debbi and Anne. Can't wait!!

Thanks for looking and any comments you have time to leave. I'm going to craft today and hope to catch up with your blogs tonight.

I made an Easter basket!

I've already made my Easter cards for Poppy and Oliver and bought some little solid chocolate Easter eggs but I thought a gift bag would be nice. Auntie Mhairi is going to visit them on Wednesday so I thought that would be the ideal way to get their presents to them without them being wasted in the post. She came out yesterday to get her hair cut so I don't even have to take them to her. Since I don't have to worry about posting I thought I'd make a basket for Poppy's eggs. I saw a lovely basket on Brenda's blog and she had very kindly done a tutorial on it. Thanks Brenda it was really easy to follow, even for me!

I used my new inches Scor-Pal to make it. I won this on Jacque's blog. Jacque had amazing candy recently to celebrate having 4,000 followers (yes four thousand) and I was one of 10 winners. Thanks Jacque I love my prize. Jacque often has candy and her work is absolutely stunning. She is on several design teams and loves her Magnolias, among others! It's always a treat to visit Jacque's blog and see what she's been making.

So here's Poppy's Easter basket.

I used part of a LOTV stamp to match her card and coloured it with Promarkers and added some Sakura glitter gel pen to the butterfly. Don't be fooled by the fact that it looks as if there are lots of eggs in there cos they're sitting on top of some tissue so the photo looks nice lol!

I've already shown her card but here it is again to show how they match.

I hope Poppy likes her card and basket! I love this image it's really cute. I was quite pleased with myself when I managed to ink and stamp part of the image successfully. I usually mess up when I try to do something like this.

I'm entering the following challenges with the basket :-
Lili's Little Fairies :- Anything Goes.
Allsorts :- Photo Inspiration - I used Spring colours and Easter eggs.
Creative Card Crew :- Spring.
Cute Card Thursday :- Happy Easter.

I've made a gift bag for Oliver too so I'll show it to you tomorrow. I've got a day off tomorrow as it's a local holiday. Next week we have to work at Easter but hey a day off is a day off whenever it is, I'm not proud! Tomorrow I'm going to craft but tonight I'm going to catch up with my favourite blogs and my DT commenting. And of course my ironing. Not yet cos Mhairi is taking up a lot of space with her laptop and a box of cd she's putting on her ipod!

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any comments you have time to leave.

Totally Gorjuss 125 Swirly Whirly.

Good morning everyone, Saturday again and it only seems like 2 minutes since last Saturday!

This week at Totally Gorjuss our theme is "Swirly Whirly. Now that's easy isn't it? We're sponsored by Meyer Imports so don't forget to pop over and see what they've got to tempt you.

I've made a "thinking of you card" this week so I've kept it quite simple. I bought this lovely new image from Inkylicious at the SECC the other week. It stamps beautifully and I think I'll use it a lot. I swithered about buying some of their ink dusters and didn't buy them. Of course I realised as soon as I got home that I should have bought them so I had to order them. This is the first time I've used them so I'm quite pleased with how the image turned out. I stamped the image in Versamark and embossed it before adding colour with the ink dusters.

I used :-
Image :- Inkylicious.
Colouring :- various colours of inkpads.
Embossing :- Cuttlebug - Divine Swirls.
Swirls :- Cottage Cutz.
Sentiment :- Hero Arts.
Ribbon.

I'm entering the following challenge this week ;-

Simon Says Stamp :- Anything goes.

I've had a bit of hassle with my broadband this week and had to phone the Post Office helpline. My router had to be re-set and I had a new password which I wrote down(!) Unfortunately I made a little mistake. It didn't affect my laptop but when I tried to use my ipad it wouldn't work. So back to the helpline again. The girl suggested different permutations of it in case I had got i's and 1's or 0's and O's mixed up. Still no luck so I had to phone again! Had to connect the ethernet cable again so it could be controlled by the girl on the helpline. As it turns out I had got all the letters and numerals correct but I'd managed to miss out one number grrr..... At least I was able to keep up with my DT commenting via my iphone or ipad till I could use my laptop again. Surely this week is going to be better? I've got a day off on Monday as it's a local holiday. But the following Monday is Easter Monday so we're working and the posties are off!

Well I'll catch up later today. My younger daughter is coming out to get her hair cut at the village hairdresser today so maybe we'll go for a coffee after that.

Thanks for looking and I really appreciate any comments you leave.

Totally Gorjuss 124 - Spots and Stripes.

Good morning everyone, hope it's a nice day wherever you are. We've had a fantastic week here north of Aberdeen, still a cold wind at times but lovely sunshine.

Now it's time for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week we'd like to see spots and stripes on your card. We're sponsored by Lili of the Valley this week. I'd love to win the prize this week, I mean have you seen their new stamps just out at the NEC this week?

So here's my card.

I used :-
Image :- House Mouse.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- First Edition.
Pearls, lace, ribbon and Glamour Dust.

I think I've got some challenges to add but it's very late on Friday night as I'm scheduling this post! I'm going to a crop after work today but I'll catch up with you all later.

Challenges for this card :-
Creative Inspirations :- Anything Goes.
Cute Card Thursday :- Anything Goes.
Totally Papercrafts :- Humour - well I think the image is funny!
Stampin' For the Weekend :- Anything Goes.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend whatever you've got planned.

Bright Happy Birthday.

It's lucky I managed to make some cards yesterday since I haven't achieved anything today! I went to a blood donor session this morning followed by a quick trip to the Papeterie to check out their new supplies. I'm hoping to go there on Sunday as it's their 6th birthday at the weekend. They're going to have lots going on all weekend. Demos, makes and takes, special offers and Charlotte's famous cupcakes. I needed to get some card so it was the ideal chance to have a browse around and make a mental list of what I need (want). Then I nipped into Asda which took a wee while! So by the time had my lunch, checked my emails, looked at some of my favourite blogs it's now after 4pm!!

So here's a card I made with a new PB stamp I bought at the SECC recently. Isn't he cute?

I used :-
Image :- Penny Black.
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- Eline's Huis.
Lace, pearls, flowers and Glamour Dust.

I'm going to enter the following challenges :-
Passion for Promarkers :- Animals
Papertake Weekly :- Bingo - Die cuts, free and glitter.
Penny Black :- Anything Goes.

Friday morning - just realised I'd forgotten to include the Penny Black challenge!

Well it's a gorgeous day here again and I'm going to craft at a friend's house tonight so I'd best go and organise tea and walk the dogs.

Catch you all later and thanks for looking.

Totally Gorjuss 123 - Spring.

Oops guess who forgot to schedule this post. I remembered when I was brushing my teeth last night but decided to leave it till today after work.

This week at Totally Gorjuss our theme is "Spring." We are sponsored by Heather's Hobbie Haven. Have you checked out Heather's store yet? I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I thought I'd make an Easter card for Poppy.

I used :-
Image :- LOTV.
Sentiment :- Personal Impressions.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- First Edition.
Butterflies :- Martha Stewart punch.
Glamour Dust, pearls and flowers.

I think I'm addicted to First Edition papers! This paper is from the Spring Drop pad which I bought at the SECC last Sunday. It's full of beautiful pastel designs. I love it. If you pop over to Totally Gorjuss you'll see that a few of us have added butterflies to our cards this week. Must be the gorgeous weather we've been having. Don't know about anywhere else but we've had some beautiful days in Aberdeenshire, including today.

I'm going to enter the following challenges :-
Colour Create :- Pink, blue, sage and white/cream.
Papertake Weekly :- One for the girls - it's for Poppy.
Allsorts :- Three in a row. If I'm being cheeky just delete my entry!
St Luke's Charity Cards Challenge :- Spring into Spring.
Joanna Sheen Challenge :- Spring/Easter.

I'm off to check out today's challenges now and get on with some crafting. The lady who's in charge of the orders for our communion tokens told me the other day she had an order for 20 cards so I think I'm going to be busy lol!

Have a lovely weekend everyone and thanks for looking.

Friday, 16 March 2012

What a helpful trio!

I've been a good girl this morning and did lots of housework before finishing off this card. I've made a couple of birthday cards for one of the girls at work and we also have some at work for everyone's birthday. Another of the girls asked if I'd make a New Home card for her and this is it.

I used :-
Image & Sentiment :- LOTV.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- DCWV - Linen Closet.
Card Candi :- Craftwork Cards.
Flowers :- Magnolia Doohickey die.
Lace.

I'd like to enter the following challenges :-

Crafting When We Can :- Animals.
Cupcake :- Going Dotty.

I'd best go and see if I can organise tea before I go to work.

Thanks for looking, catch up later.

Cards from WRI Show.

I keep thinking I'm getting back to normal and find that I haven't blogged for days - again!

I was at my own WRI meeting last night and decided to spend the afternoon baking for it. I did get some places so I suppose it was worth it. The problem is that now I have even more goodies to eat. As if I needed the extra calories lol!

This is my card for the congratulations card in any craft category. Luckily I'd taken a photo of it since I've completely lost it! I was in a bit of a hurry as I'd spent all Friday morning baking and making tablet and chutney. I thought I'd just use a congratulations card from my box but decided not to since I usually stamp the back of my cards with my name and realised this would not do for a show. Hence the use of the die cut as I didn't have much time to make the card and take all my entries to a friend to take to the show on Saturday! I thought the card was quite pretty but the judges preferred cards that looked as if they came straight from a kit. I've nothing against kits although I don't use them myself after all you can add your own touches but the winner looked as if anyone could have made it, no skill required. Not really a surprise as that's what usually happens.

I used :-
Image :- LOTV die cut.
Sentiments :- Craftwork Cards and Hero Arts.
Embossing :- Craft Concepts and Cuttlebug.
Ribbon, pearls and Glamour Dust.

This is my card for our co-operative table. The theme this year was the Diamond Jubilee. The six different items this year were a piece of headwear, a congratulations card, 6 cakes (2 varieties), 6 savouries (2 varieties), a jug of fruit punch and a craft item (own choice). We got good marks for all the items except the savouries which were very small and not what we expected. We got full marks for the layout and 9 1/2 for a couple of items including mine so I was quite chuffed about that. Later on I thought what didn't the judges like, what happened to the 1/2 mark lol!

I used :-
Image :- Hero Arts, stamped onto card and again on coloured DP and layered.
Sentiment :- Printed from computer.
Embossing :- Craft Concepts and Cuttlebug.
Ribbon, gems, Glamour Dust and black Stickles.

I'm entering the following challenge :-
Everybody Art :-Easel card.

Thanks for looking.

Chuffed!

Hi everyone, I've scheduled this as I'm off to the craft show at the SECC in Glasgow today. My friend and I were getting our bus at 6.30, and we're not the first on! I've not really been blogging this week because I had a WRI group show yesterday. My little branch is one of nine WRIs that come together competitively every March.    I don't usually show baking or produce but somehow this year I decided to bake and ended up spending the whole of Friday morning baking and making tablet and chutney. But it was worth it. When my friend and I went in yesterday morning and started to look around I was really surprised to find that I had got 3rd place for what they call Swiss milk toffee  - where I come from we would call it tablet. Then 3rd for my gluten free cheese biscuits. These will be popular with my younger daughter who is wheat intolerant, especially since she loves cheese. And I was even more surprised to find a 3rd place ticket on my Caramelised Onion Relish. As you can imagine by this time I was a very happy bunny. But the biggest surprise was getting 1st place for my no bake traybakes. I made Rocky Road because it always turns out well and everyone loves it. My friend only joined the WRI this session and this was the first time she had showed so she was really pleased to get two tickets. I was really chuffed for her because it's encouraging to get a place or even a highly commended for your troubles. We did reasonably well with our co-operative table. We were only let down by one item out of the six. I got 9 1/2 out of 10 for my congratulations card. I'll put it on when I get a photo taken.

What a waffle but it explains where I've been all week. Knitting and sewing up. Needless to say I didn't get anywhere with my knitting but all the jumpers are to be sent to Romania so at least it's of some use to someone. I knitted a hat too and it'll be going off too after our own mini show on Wednesday.

Catch up with you all tomorrow and I might even tell you what I bought at the SECC !!

Totally Gorjuss 122 - Anything Goes plus a button.

Good morning everyone is it really Saturday again. This week has just vanished! I've been busy all week trying to get my entries for our big WRI show today. I took my entries to one of my friends last night so she could take them in for me. They have to be in before 10am and then we can see everything and find out who the winners are in the afternoon. It's a busy weekend as some of us are off to the craft show at the SECC in Glasgow. Not sure what I need, if anything, but I'm looking forward to going. Internet's ok but it's nice to see things in real life and get your hands on them right away!

This week our theme is "Anything Goes" and we'd like you to add a button or buttons. Nice and easy and my teamies have made some lovely cards to inspire you. We're sponsored by these lovely people at Crafters' Companion who have lots of must haves to tempt you.

I used :-
Image :- Sugar Nellies.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
DP :- Craft Creations.

I made this card for my friend's son's partner's daughter. Does that make sense? My friend has just become a granny again and her son's partner has a little girl already. I thought it would be nice for her to get a card too. I haven't used this image since Oliver was born and Poppy became a big sister!

As I said I haven't been around much this week and I'm really missing seeing what my favourite bloggy friends have been doing. I'm hoping to get back to normal on Monday. I had to laugh at my colleague this afternoon. She was in the shop and she came over to the Post Office and asked if I was off on Monday. She must have forgotten and just happened to notice I had marked the calendar. Lucky really since there might not have been anyone working in there on Monday.

Thanks for looking and I'll catch up with you all this evening.

Totally Gorjuss121 - Sketch.

Good morning everyone, can't believe it's the beginning of March already. But here we are at the 3rd and it's time for another sketch challenge at Totally Gorjuss, sponsored as usual by the ever generous Joanna Sheen. I love a good sketch to work from and Net has given us some great sketches including this one.

And here's my take on it.

I used :-
Image :- Elzybells.
DP :- First Edition.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Glamour Dust and pearls.

I stamped the eggs a few times so that I could pop them all up on sticky pads. I don't like orange (not even orange sweeties) but it seems to work here.

I hope you can join us this week, a sketch is a great start when you're making a card and you can't think where to start.

I'm entering the following challenges :-
Creative Inspirations :- Anything Goes.
Simon Says Stamp :- Anything Goes.
Cute Card Thursday :- Signs of Spring.

By the way my talented teamie Sarah has started a new challenge blog and a shop with some gorgeous goodies. She has also got a DT call so if you pop over to her blog or her challenge blog you could add your name.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you've got planned. I'm going to be a bit busy as I've got a WRI show next weekend and I've still got a few things to finish. As usual!! Last minute Aggie, that's me lol!

Thanks for looking and I'll catch you all later.
