Hi everyone, I'm a bit late with this but I won't have time before work tomorrow! When I saw the challenge at Lili's Little Fairies I knew it was perfect for me. Well they don't call me Lilackat for nothing, I love all shades of lavender, lilac, purple etc.

That's me now, I didn't realise it was so late.

Thanks for looking and I'll catch up later after work.

Raspberries - Yum!!

Just a quick post cos as usual I've been prevaricating about doing my ironing!! I don't mind ironing but at the moment I've not got much time to craft and lots to do!!

I can't resist House Mouse and isn't this cute. Though I have to admit I was wishing I had some of the new fine Promarker tips when I was colouring in this image lol!

I used :-
Image :- House Mouse from one of the Summer sets.
DP :- Paper Adventures.
The blue gingham is stamped with a Waltzingmouse stamp and Stampin' Up Bashful Blue ink.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment & card candy :- Craftwork Cards.
Retro flower punch, daisy punch and pearls.

I'm entering the following challenges :-
House Mouse :-Summer.
Papertake Weekly :- Here comes the sun. Hope this is ok for that challenge!
Stampin for the weekend :- My favourite things - House Mouse image, card candy and flowers.

I think that's all I need to say, I've got another card to post but I'd best just do the ironing for now and hope to catch up with you all tomorrow. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black 107

Good evening everyone. After trying to take a decent photo of this card this evening I wish I had finished the card this morning and taken the photo when it was brighter. The wet Glossy Accents on the flowers doesn't help either. But I did housework instead - aren't I a good girl lol!

I used :-

Image :- Penny Black 2409K Letter & Daisy.

Colouring :- Promarkers. Precision Pen for faux stitching. Distress Inks.

Sentiment :- Hero Arts.

Card Candy :- Craftwork Cards.

DP :- Paper Adventures.

Glossy Accents.

The flowers are 3D'd and covered with Glossy Accents but apart from that I've kept the card quite plain as it is a sympathy card. By coincidence one of the girls who works in the shop where I work in the Post Office lost her MIL yesterday so for once I'm prepared.

I'm entering some challenges with this card:-

Penny Black :- Paper Patch.
Magical Crafts :- Flower Power.
Papertake Weekly :- In Stitches.
I think that's about it. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone, this has been a good day....I've got a card made lol! I've really missed getting any cards made recently. All I seem to have done is my DT cards and commenting and trying to catch up with my favourite blogs. I'll need to try to get up to speed though as my daughter should get the keys to her first flat on Friday and I have a feeling I'm going to be busy with other things. I'm not really that good at painting....bit too slap dash lol! But I can strip wallpaper and paste it and I suppose I can clean and scrub. What fun....don't I lead an exciting life? And then I'm going to be having my other daughter's Labrador while they are on holiday. She's a lovely dog and no bother but.....and there's always a but isn't there? We live in the country and at the moment we're surrounded by lambs and calves and she's quite loopy. Not always easy to hang onto her lead but, fingers crossed, I've always managed so far. Luckily my Labrador doesn't need a lead and my Spaniel is so decrepit that she doesn't have any notion of going for a walk.

But enough waffle, I need to tell you about my card before I check out what DT commenting I need to do before I do my ironing!

I love this cute bear from Whiff of Joy and I think he's ideal for a birthday card for a child. I think he's good for a card for anyone actually but I've been trying to make some child cards for Catriona as with two littles ones she probably has more use for them than I do. Even my youngest nephew will be 15 this year.

I used:-
DP :- Paper Adventures - check and spotty paper and Doodlebug Designs.
Colouring :- Promarkers, Sakura clear glitter gel pen (on icing and spotty paper).
Sentiment :- Craftwork Cards.
Distress Ink in bundled sage round edges.
Buttons and glittery gems from stash.
Nesties.
I'm entering a few challenges with this card :-
Whiff of Joy :- Image and green, yellow and one other colour.
Sophisticat :- So Distressing.
ABC challenge :- S for sparkle.
Cute Card Thursday :- Touchy Feely - buttons, jewels and glitter - hope this is ok.
Create 4 Fun :- Circles.
Well I'm off to do something useful. I should probably get on with an 18th birthday card for my nephew. I got his present yesterday so I just need the card.

Just Cute Bears 11 Spring Colours.

Hello everyone. Happy Easter. Hope you are having a lovely weekend. As this is Sunday I am in Crieff in Perthshire visiting my daughter and her family.

This week at Just Cute Bears we would like you to make a card or layout or whatever you fancy making using the Spring colours yellow and green. Don't these colours just make you think of Spring and better weather and longer days! I don't know about the rest of you but here in Scotland we have had horrendous weather this week. From Monday to Wednesday we have had strong winds and snow. As I write this on Thursday it is a beautiful sunny day but still very windy and very, very cold!!

This week we are again sponsored by the ever generous Kim at Cuddly Buddly. This is the beautiful stamp you can win this week. Isn't that cute!

Here is the card I made to (hopefully) help to inspire you.

I have used the lovely "Flower Bear" stamp from Hobby Art. I love The Bear. This is quite a small wooden stamp but you get larger versions of him too doing all sorts of things. There are also some clear stamps available in this range. The check DP is from Paper Adventures and the daffodil one is a scrap from my scrap box. I think it is printed from a cd a long time ago. I coloured with Promarkers with a Spica glitter gel pen for the butterfly and a Sakura clear gel pen for the flowers. The sentiment and card candy are from Craftwork Cards. I coloured the card candy and edged the sentiment with Promarker to match. Jewels, ribbon and flowers from my stash. The flowers are Prima edged with Promarker.
This month we are very lucky to have a guest designer. The very talented Helen has very kindly agreed to join us for the whole month of April. You really must pop over to her blog and check out her fabulous work. You're in for a real treat.
I hope you can find time to join us this week. I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely Spring colour creations this week. There were some gorgeous Easter cards last week. Well done everyone.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hi everyone. Seems like ages since I posted a card. I did make another one today but I can't show it to you till Saturday since it's my DT card for Totally Gorjuss. It's ages since I managed an entry there and I do love my Penny Black stamps!

Image :- Penny Black.
DP :- Paper Adventures.
Flowers :- Hero Arts.
Sentiment and card candy :- Craftwork cards.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
I'm meaning to enter a few challenges with this card:-
Penny Black :- Spring colours.
The Pink Elephant :- Spring colours.
Cupcake :- Green.
Sketch and Stash :- Sketch and my DP has been neglected for quite a while!
Fussy and Fancy :- Green.
I think that's all I can say about this card, quite a simple one really.

Hearts and flowers!

At last after faffing about all day I've managed to finish a card and get it posted. It's only a very quick card though. Just Magnolia have a nice simple sketch this week which I really enjoyed using. This is one of my favourite Tilda images and I coloured her with Promarkers as usual. I also coloured the card candy from Craftwork Cards to match and edged the image before matting it on the same card as the base card. The DP I used is from paper adventures, the flowers and flat-backed pearls are from Prima and the ribbon and heart shaped jewels are from my stash.

I'v added another picture to show that the jewels are heart shaped - I need hearts and flowers for one of the challenges I'm entering!

I hope to enter the following challenges as well as Just Magnolia:-
Passion for Promarkers :- Pastel green and blossom.
A Spoon Full of Sugar :- Freestyle - what you like.
Crafty Creations :- Celebrations.
Allsorts :- Hearts and flowers.
Cute Card Thursday :- Blooming Gorgeous.

I think I'll go and enter these challenges and get back to my DT card for Totally Gorjuss. I just need to get it finished so that I can post it on the DT blog and sort out a scheduled post for Saturday morning as I am going to a candle party tomorrow and I won't have time to do anything between getting home from work and going out.

Soon be the weekend girls only one more day to go lol!

Totally Gorjuss 4 Bling!!

Here we are at the 4th Totally Gorjuss challenge already. This time it is bling and we all love bling, don't we? I am still in Christmas mode so I have used this lovely Gorjuss Girl image with what I imagine is her letter to Santa lol!

I used the lovely sketch from Truly Scrumptious who also want 3 flowers, 3 brads and 3 jewels or pearls. I used some lovely new Paper Adventures - Holiday Joy DP that I won from scrapjackie who was giving away blog candy every day last week. Thanks a lot Jackie. I got lots of matching DP, jewels, funky fibres and stamped images. These will be lovely for my Christmas cards.

The lovely image is coloured with Promarkers as usual and her hair is highlighted with a white Inkssentials opaque gel pen and I doodled round the image with a black American Crafts precision pen. The Creative Inspirations challenge blog is looking for doodling so I am going to enter there too. I glittered the edges of the flowers, which are cut out with EK Success punches, and added red jewels. I also used a Sakura clear glitter gel pen to add glitter to the brads! The flowers and sentiment are on foam pads for a bit of dimension.

This close up shows the glitter on the edges of the petals. There are also glittery stripes in the DP but I think it shows up better on the piccie of the whole card!

I hope lots of you are going to join us this week. Bling is something we all like, it's easy to add and I'm sure you can combine the Totally Gorjuss challenge with other challenges. So I'm hoping to see what you come up with this week. It's been great to see all your lovely cards so far.

This is a bit last minute!

This is really at the last minute for the Passion for Promarkers Challenge, but quite early for Friday Sketchers! I used the sketch for Friday Sketchers and the colours Moss and Poppy for the Passion for Promarkers Challenge. I coloured the Sugar Nellies image with Promarkers. The papers are from Paper Adventures and Cosmo Cricket. The flowers, brad and jewels are from my stash. The card was made yesterday but I did not try to take a photo in the evening after wasting my time before! Unfortunately I was not much better this morning and then I suddenly found a position where the photo shows the pattern on the papers. They are very pale but were the only suitable green ones I could find in my local craft shop! The base one is meant to be like that it is just marbly it is not my bad photography. This is the first time I have tried using Promarkers and I think I need to get card that is more suitable for using them!

Thanks for looking. Kat x
