Another Baby Card!

Hi everyone, here I am with another baby card that I made last night. I nearly missed getting a photo of it in daylight as I had to go out after lunchtime. It looks as if I have not been doing much as I haven't posted much during this last week but I have been busy. On Friday evening I made six cards, 2 sympathy and 4 thank you. There was a buttery morning in the church hall for Ekwendeni in Malawi. [NE Scotland girls will understand but for the rest of the UK (including the rest of Scotland) a buttery is a kind of roll. I'm an incomer to Aberdeenshire so I hope I have explained that properly lol!] Our card group had loads and loads of cards to sell but were a bit short of sympathy and thank you. Unfortunately we were put in another part of the building as someone said there was no room for us!! There was lots of space so some of our ladies were less than chuffed. Our organiser took some of the cards to the sales table as they had so little to sell! We saw very few people until the ladies who were serving the tea and coffee had tidied up and washed the cups. So we were pretty pleased to have raised £91 of the £400 total! After this we are hoping to have a basket of cards in the hall so that when people go for tea or coffee they can have a look and be aware that we do cards for all occasions. We only sold cards for £1.50 at the most but some people are so grippy (mean) that they won't pay any more. OK sorry rant over.

I made this card using this very sweet image from Pink Gem Designs. Janet has some gorgeous images. The baby ones are so sweet and there are some lovely new images for Christmas too.

I coloured this sweet baby boy with Promarkers to match this lovely DCWV nana's nursery DP. I love this paper. I used this image a few weeks ago and thought I had a boy card for my daughter and her husband plus her in-laws and a spare one in case my friend's daughter had a boy too. But.....and there's always a but isn't there? I gave my friend the wrong card. I gave her a blue one using this image and was left with two cards with the lovely Willow with baby from Whiff of Joy. Both completely different but using the same papers and image so I couldn't give one to Catriona and her in-laws, could I? Never mind now I have a spare baby boy as well as a baby girl card. They won't go wrong....someone's bound to need one sometime!! Bit like sympathy cards you can never have too many of them. All that's left to say about this card is that the lilac is Coredinations and the jewels and ribbon are from my stash. Oh and the lovely sketch is from Create 4 Fun. I love this sketch it is very easy to use and really shows off your DPs.

Wee update on baby's name....they have narrowed it down to three names now!! Told me earlier what the three were at last. When they eventually decide on his first name he is to have two middle names - one after each Grampa. Hopefully it will be decided before daddy goes back to work tomorrow or he will have people asking him all the time.

Thanks for looking, I'm off to make tea now and hopefully an evening of crafting. And I'll try to do my ironing too lol!!
