Mudpie's Cake!

Hi everyone, me again. Most unusual for me to post twice in the one day!! If you want to see my DT card for Totally Gorjuss please scroll down. I thought I'd show you another of the cards I made the other day. I was thinking about the House Mouse & Friends challenge which is use a recipe or a recipe card and thinking I couldn't enter but when I checked my stamps I found this image! Cute isn't it?

I used :-
Image :- House Mouse - Mudpie's Cake.
DP :- First Edition - Summer Breeze.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment :- Hero Arts.
Card Candy :- Craftwork Cards.
Retro flower punch, pearls, ribbon.

I'm entering the following challenges too :-
Creative Card Crew :- Anything Goes.
Stamp Something :- Anything Goes.
Colour Create :- Pink, brown, cream, white.
Stampin' for the Weekend :- Tickled Pink.
Craft Your Days Away :- Make Your Own Flowers.

I think that's all lol! I've still got another 2 cards that I never got round to posting but I'll do that soon.

I went to a crop today at my local craft shop. We have one every 4 weeks and there can be up to 11 of us but for one reason and another there were only 4 of us this time. Funnily enough we all seemed to get lots done today. We might tell the others that they're a bad influence lol! In truth we probably did as much chatting as usual. I think I was just a bit more organised than usual and I was pretty chuffed to get five Christmas cards made!

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Vroom, Vroom!

I've had a busy day today with cards. My friend came over this afternoon and we got some cards made for the communion tokens. I think the lady who asked if I'd make them will be surprised when she sees how many I've got ready. I still need to make some to hold 4 tokens as we've just made the single token ones so far. I would have made some tonight but I really needed to make a birthday card for my big brother. Even at my age I think of Jim and Hugh as my big brothers as they are 12 & 9 years older than me. Jim is the eldest and his birthday is on Friday so I need to post his card today!

I used :-
Image :- Hero Arts.
Sentiment & Card Candi :- Craftwork Cards.
DP :- DCWV - Linen Closet.
Buttons  and string.

Isn't this paper gorgeous and just perfect for a male card. I think the image is perfect for a male card too, especially for my brother. He's a time served motor engineer and latterly had his own business for over 30 years. Hope he likes it! I had to add the buttons after I managed to get ink on the image when I stamped the "Happy Birthday." What a clumsy idiot I am!

I'm entering the following challenges :-
Cupcake :- Sketch.
Craft Your Days Away :- Birthday.
A Spoon Full of Sugar :- Birthday.
Pile it On :- Blue, blue, blue - use 3 shades of blue.

I have to work today as my colleague is going to a funeral so it looks like I'm going to be at the last minute with my DT card for Totally Gorjuss - again!!

Thanks for looking, hope you like?

It's a Girl.

Hi everyone, I was going to do this a lot earlier today but I couldn't get a decent photo. Not that good yet but better than my earlier attempts!

I've already made a shaped card as my DT card for Totally Gorjuss but I couldn't resist doing another one for Penny Black at Allsorts where they don't want to see square or rectangular cards. They're also having a DT call. I'd like to put my name forward for that! I don't think I've got any chance of making the DT but it won't hurt to try. I love my Penny Blacks and have lots I've not even used yet!! I was looking for something this afternoon and I found a carrier with a couple of Penny Black stamps and a Hero Arts cling stamp. No idea how long they've been mislaid. Oh dear!!

So here's my card. It's just a little titchy one as I made it with circle nesties.

I used :-
Image & sentiment :- Penny Black.
DP :- Craft Creations.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sakura glitter gel pen, pearls, Nesties.

I'm hoping to enter the following challenges :-
Craft Your Days Away :- White plus one other colour.
Simon Says Stamp :- Look what the stork brought.
Stamp Something :- Anything goes.
Easy Craft Projects :- Pretty pastel colours.

Well I think I should go now as it's rather late now. Catch up with you all later and thanks for looking.

Totally Gorjuss 75 Fluffy!

Good morning everyone. I hope it is a lovely day where you are. Here in North East Scotland we've been very lucky and had a few gorgeous days this week. Our neighbour is lambing just now and I love to see the lambs enjoying the sunshine. But I have to hold on very tightly to my hooligan Labradors. This is not easy as one is 29.5kg and the other is 30.7 so it's a lot to hang onto lol.

But on to my card. This week at Totally Gorjuss our challenge is "Fluffy." We'd like to see something fluffy in your card or project, so a little animal would be perfect.

I'm thinking about getting into Christmas mode to save getting stressed later in the year so I've made a "fluffy" Christmas card this week.

I used :-
Image :- LOTV.
DP :- Bo Bunny plus dotty Bazzill.
Colouring :- Promarkers.
Sentiment & card candy :- Craftwork Cards.
Martha Stewart punches, Glamour Dust, jewels and velvet ric rac.

I used the lovely sketch from Sketch Saturday, silly me by the time I post this it's too late to enter there!
I'm entering the following challenges :-
Cards for Men :- Embossing.
Creative Inspirations Wednesday challenge :- Punches or dies.
Craft Your Days Away :- Spots & Stripes.

Hope you can join us this week. Our sponsor this week is Crafter's Companion and I'm sure I don't need to tell you what a great variety of products they have in their online store.

I must apologise for not being very good at blogging and visiting this week. I managed to get my DT work done and not a lot else. On Wednesday my laptop was pounced on by something called MS REMOVAL TOOL. I instantly suspected this was something dodgy as it claimed my laptop had 38 infections - viruses, trojan horses, worms, malware, spyware..... It was pretty scary but it's not long since my son downloaded some new antivirus software. This thing wouldn't let me do anything at all and kept saying my system was in danger etc. So I text Iain and he googled it and said it was a hoax. I shut down and rebooted in safe mode and checked out how to get rid of it. But then I was worried that anything that claimed to fix it was dodgy too. By Thursday it was still there. At night I checked out some more and decided to try a system reset. I'd already tried that with no success but read somewhere that you could reset to a specific point in time so I decided to try to reset to Tuesday evening. It worked and so far it hasn't shown its ugly head again. It was really scary, the messages etc were really worrying and if you get a scare like that it would be easy to believe it was really happening. I'm naturally suspicious I think and always wary about clicking on anything so I just wanted to warn you to be wary if anything like this turns up. The scariest thing was that I couldn't do anything at all and I didn't know if it just wanted to mess up my system or if it wanted to get something like bank or card details.

I'm off babysitting today so hopefully when the kids are in bed I can catch up with you all.

Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for looking and if you have a minute to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think.

Good morning everyone and it's the first Saturday in December and time for another sketch from Net. We are sponsored again by the lovely and ever generous Joanna Sheen and we have a £10 voucher for the lucky winner. Joanna's online store is full of lovely goodies and there is no p&p to pay. I don't know about you but I can always find something I like there.

Here is my take on Net's lovely sketch.

I used :-
Image :- LOTV cute square cut out with an oval nestie.
Sentiment and Card candy :- Craftwork cards.
Snowflake :- Martha Stewart punch.
Sizzix & Cuttlebug embossing folders and lots of glitter.

I seem to be really into blue and white cards at the moment and these LOTV cute squares are really useful when you're in a hurry and have a lot of cards to make. I'd like to enter the following challenges :-
Craft Your Days Away challenge :- Texture.
Cute Card Thursday :- The Blues.

I'll catch up with you later when I've successfully negotiated the snow on my way back from my work. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for looking.

Just Cute Bears #31 Pink & Brown

It's Sunday already girls and normally I would be wondering how it could be Sunday already and I'd have to go to work tomorrow. But this week I'm having Monday and Tuesday off as my daughter and 2 gorgeous grandchildren are coming to stay tomorrow for a few days. My son-in-law has to go away for a few days for work so it'll just be the 3 of them. I'm so looking forward to them coming! I'm also taking the day off next Saturday as we're having a special crop to celebrate the first birthday of the craft shop. We're all going to take along something to eat. I'm taking carrot cake and rocky road traybake. Maybe Poppy will help me with my baking!

But I'm sure you'd rather hear about our challenge at Just Cute Bears! This week we are being sponsored by Wild Rose Studio and we'd like you to use the colours pink and brown on your project. Unfortunately I don't have any of their lovely stamps but I do have some of their gorgeous papers so I've used them.

I used :-

Image :- Die cut from LOTV.

DP :- Wild Rose Studio.

Butterflies and bow on image covered with Sakura glitter gel pen.

Corners cut with EK Success punch.

Nesties, pearls and ribbon.

I'd like to enter the Lili of the Valley challenge as I used their sketch.

The Pink Elephant :- Ribbon and Sparkles.

Craft Your Days Away :- Things with Wings.

Crafty Creations :- Butterflies.

Creative Card Crew :- Sparkles and Shine.

If you've got time do please tell me what you think of my little card and I'm sure my talented teamies would like to hear from you too.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend.
