Just Cute Bears #17 A Recipe.

Hi everyone. If it's Sunday it must be time for another challenge at Just Cute Bears. This week we have a recipe for you. We would like you to include 3 brads, 2 papers and 1 ribbon on your card or project plus of course a bear.

We are once again sponsored by our kind sponsor Kim at Cuddly Buddly. As well as her own stamps, digi stamps and digi download papers Kim sells a wide selection of other lovely goodies and it's always worthwhile popping over to her web shop for a look. I'm sure you'll find something you really want to buy!

This little cutie is the prize for one lucky random winner this week.

This is my card for this week's challenge. I meant to use a new LOTV stamp that I got the other day but could I find it? No! I searched everywhere and couldn't understand why it could be lost. In the end I gave up and decided to use this image instead. I did find the stamp I meant to use after I had stamped this image. I have some Promarkers in a plastic tub which held Tesco non bio liquid capsules! Yes that is where it was. Never mind I'll use it soon.

I used:-
Image :- Penny Black
DP and ribbon :- Stampin' Up!
Colouring :- Promarkers, Spica glitter gel pen, Sakura clear glitter gel pen.
Sentiment and scalloped cards :- Craftwork Cards.
Nesties and brads.
Isn't this DP and ribbon gorgeous. I bought it from Angela who is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. She also kindly punched out some scalloped ovals and circles to fit the sentiments. Thanks Angela I really love the papers and ribbon. I used some green Papermania card which is a good match for the DP and the scalloped oval.
I still feel a bit odd with the loss of my little Spaniel on Saturday morning. My husband brought her home to bury her in the field next to our house. We let our Labrador have a good look and a sniff at Lucy and she went into the field when he went to bury Lucy. She's been a bit strange on Saturday night. Not very happy. Maddy's never been on her own. She went from her mother to living with Lucy. Hope she's a bit happier soon!
I hope you can find time to pop over to the Just Cute Bears challenge blog to see what my talented teamies have made this week. We would all appreciate if you have a minute to spare to let us know what you think. I'm looking forward to how you interpret our "recipe" challenge this week.
Thanks for taking the time to look and for any kind comments you might leave.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Kat xx

  1. Hi Kat,
I am so sorry to hear about Lucy. Pets leave such a big hole in your life when they go don't they? I hope you are ok and I hope Maddy perks up soon too.
Your card is gorgeous and I love the swirly, floral papers.

  3. I am so, so sorry to hear this inevitable news Kat, I do know how you feel, we lost our Dotty who was 17 a couple of years back, she was part of the family and she grew up with our boys but she was very old in dog years so we did like you and put her out of her suffering, it's the kindest thing as they can't tell us what they are going through.

I have my friends Stampin up book at the moment, I have my eye on several items and will be ordering the end of the month, your card is lovely I really like the DP and you have matched the image up perfect...

    Gorgeous job!!!

    Look after yourself and Maddy

  4. Awww...so sorry to hear about Lucy...hope Maddy soon cheers up. When my parents' dog Seamus died (aged 14) a couple of years ago, their other dog (Cassie who's now 13) was quite depressed for a couple of weeks..didn't want to eat or go for walks...she'd lived with him all her life...but she has now adapted to being an 'only dog'...she's got my Dad wrapped around her paws! lol

Gorgeous card - that wee bear is one of my favourite stamps!
