Hello everyone and I hope you like our challenge this week at Just Cute Bears. I can't believe that we're at week 10 already. This week we have this lovely stamp as a prize from Cuddly Buddly. Now I'm sure you would all like to win this stamp so all you have to do is make an Easter card with a bear as the main image. Easy, isn't it?
This is the card I made for the challenge. I have to admit I was struggling as I didn't think I had such a thing as an Easter themed stamp with a bear. But after a bit of raking among my stamps I found a little packet with 4 bear stamps! Amazing what you can find in the bottom of a drawer. I also found some anonymous DPs which seemed to go together OK. I think they may be DCWV but don't quote me! I coloured the image with Promarkers added some card candy, coloured to match and some little jewels. I was also struggling with the sentiment. The only Happy Easter I have was too big so this is a computer generated one cut out with a nestie and edged with Promarker to match.
I wasn't sure if I liked this card but I think it's growing on me. I was at a crop on Saturday afternoon after work and started it then. I have also been making a hanger with his name on it for Oliver. I'm struggling with what else to put on it. It's easy enough for a girl because you can add little flowers and jewels but what do you put on for a boy?I'll have to think about that lol!
Later on I hope to be able to show you Oliver's Easter card. I won some stamps on the Creative Card Crew challenge recently which were donated by Nikki at Bunny Zoe Crafts. They are 'High Hopes' Tulip Bunny and Bloom and I think the bunny will be perfect for a card for my favourite baby boy lol!
Hope you can join us this week at Just Cute Bears. And do please have a look at my talented teamies blogs and see how they've made their gorgeous cards. And of course if you can leave us a comment we'd love to hear what you think of our "beary" cards.
Looking forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your lovely Easter cards. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

It was difficult wasn't it Kat! It was only late on that I remembered I'd got some FF easter bits at the NEC last year.
ReplyDeleteI think your card looks lovely!

Lovely card, Kat! I really like the fresh colours and papers you have used, and your image is really cute! Hugs Delphine xx
ReplyDeletea gorgeous card for a boy - and I love the little blue corners - buttons seem to work for boys and string or raffia rather than ribbon. But I know what you mean and they don't get easier as they get older!
