Stamptacular Sunday 21

This is a quick card I made for the Stamptacular Sunday challenge 21 which is 3D. I thought I would try making a step card for the first time. I used some of last year's DCWV xmas paper. I cut out a Cuttlebug ice crystal and attached it with sticky pads. I also attached a stamped greeting with sticky pads. I added a jewel to the middle of the crystal. The middle part of the card has some of the paper edged with my new Martha Stewart embossed snowflake edge punch. Unfortunately it is not very clear in the photo but it is really pretty. Ribbon from my stash. If anyone recognises this paper they will probably realise that the colours in my photo are a bit strange. The two light papers are ok but the dark one is really not this colour and neither is the ribbon. It is more like a sort of maroony-purple... if that makes any sense. It really is not a good card, I am not at all happy with it!
Today my friend and I went to visit a new craft shop that opened near Peterhead. It is a lovely shop and we bought some new goodies. There are lots of lovely Bo Bunny Christmas papers and Halloween papers too. Some 7 Gypsies and lots of Bazzill. Lots more still to come including MME Christmas papers so of course we will have to go back soon lol.
Has anyone been over to the La La Land blog? They have some yummy candy to celebrate the release of 11 new Halloween stamps on 10th September.

I should go now and post this and enter the Stamptacular Sunday challenge and not leave it too late!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

By the way this also fits the Cupcake Craft challenge which is a shaped card, anything but a square.

  1. Its a pretty card, I like the papers you have used & the ice crystal too!! I like these, as they are quite easy to do and yout can decortare them in so many ways!! It's great that you have a lovely new craft shop, I only have hobbycraft (10 mins away!), and a couple of not very well stocked small stores. :(

  6. This is so pretty Kat. I hate it when the camera changes the colours - but it looks gorgeous as it is! I love the big snowflake.
