Good morning everyone and I hope you're going to join us for another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. This week our challenge is "I Remember." You could use an image that brings back a memory from childhood, or about someone or something special. I've chosen to make a Sympathy card this time using a favourite Penny Black stamp - Poppies.
I used :-
Image :- Penny Black - paper pieced.
Sentiment :- Hero Arts.
Ribbon, Glamour Dust, black Stickles, Swiss Dots embossing folder & green Promarker.
Quite a simple card but I think simple is best for a Sympathy card.
We're sponsored by Fantastic Ribbons this week and who doesn't like pretty ribbons for their projects. I know I do lol! So I hope you can join us. If you want some inspiration pop over to theTotally Gorjuss challenge blog to see what my talented teamies have made this week. You won't be disappointed.
I'm entering the following challenges with this card :-
Simon Says Stamp :- Anything Goes.
Charisma Cardz :- Anything Goes.
Thanks for looking and I'll try to catch up with you all later after work. I'll need to try and get up to date with everything today as I'm off to the SECC tomorrow. I need to get up really early as we catch the bus at 6.30am and we don't get home till after 9pm. So it's a long day but usually lots of fun. I've taken the day off on Monday to catch up with ironing and blogging.
It's been a very long week this week. My colleague has been on holiday all week and then she's leaving to look after her elderly mother. She'll be in on Monday as my day off has been arranged for a long time. But all this week I've been training a new colleague. Irene already works in the shop and can take charge when the bosses are on holiday so serving customers and dealing with cash are no problem for her. The Post Office is quite different though and there's a lot to learn. Unfortunately we've been really quiet all week but we've had a lot of posting and taking out cash and since that's a lot of our work she's done plenty of that. She's doing really well and I left her on her own for a while this morning and all afternoon. I'm sure Annette will be able to leave her to work on her own on Monday to get more experience. Not sure if I'll need to go in and be there on Tuesday morning but I'm hoping to stay at home and get my hoovering etc done.
Enjoy your weekend, catch up with you all later.
