A Simple Acceptance Card.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. I am. Tomorrow after work we're going to my daughter's to babysit. She has to work all day on Saturday so we're going to have fun with Poppy and Oliver. Depending on the weather we might go to the park. One of the parks in Crieff has been closed for a while to have a bit of a makeover. Hope there aren't the nasty showers we've had here today. It has definitely been a day of sunshine and showers! I was very lucky to get out for all of my walks with the dogs nice and dry.

I managed to get my DT card done for Saturday and then made an acceptance card for an evening reception. My friend's middle son is getting married on the 9th of July. They live further south where we come from but his fiancee comes from near here. They met while studying at Aberdeen University so the wedding is there and the reception is not far from us. I'm really looking forward to catching up with my friend's Mum and the rest of her family and lots of mutual friends. My friend and I first met at the Young Farmers quite a long time ago!!

The invitation is very simple and elegant and I've tried to echo the colour of it when I made my card.

I used:-
Pearlescent cream card :- The Papeterie.
Sentiment :- Woodware.
Jewels :- Hobby House.
Nesties & Martha Stewart edge punch.
The reply was printed on the computer.

You won't believe this but it took me ages to make this simple card. The invitation was handmade and I kinda wanted to prove to myself that I could make a stylish reply. I edged the front of the card with a Martha Stewart edge punch.I added dark turquoise to the inside and finished the inside with a computer printed reply on matching paper. I stamped "acceptance" on matching card cut with a scalloped nestie layered onto a plain rectangle of dark turquoise and finished with some small jewels. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out but I can't believe how long it took to make lol!

Now I'm off to try out some ideas for a LIM card.

Thanks for looking.
