Another Sympathy Card.

I think I've been a bad blogger this past week or so. Yesterday evening I made this sympathy card that I should have made at the end of last week. But I was busy trying to catch up with DT stuff before being away at the weekend. I made this for one of my WRI friends who lost her mother last week. She was 95 and lived with her until going into hospital recently. I think she will miss her very much. What a wonderful age to live to. My auntie will be 94 this year and still keeps very busy. If I get to be old I would like to be like her.

Anyway about the card. I embossed a piece of card with the swiss dots folder in the Cuttlebug distressed it with frayed burlap and tattered rose and edged it with walnut stain. The image is CG127 Flower Box and the sentiment is from CL 283 both from Hero Arts. I decoupaged the large flower for a bit of dimension. Promarkers were used for colouring. I finished off with some card candy from Craftwork Cards.
I've left it quite simple as I think simple is best for sympathy cards.

Now I need to go and see if I can catch up with commenting on entries for Totally Gorjuss and Just Cute Bears.

Almost forgot I had an email telling me that stamps uk is having a closing down sale. They have lots of goodies on sale and the last date for orders is 28th February. I've had a look....needless to say. And I just got an order from Nikki at Bunny Zoe's Crafts. I can recommend Bunny Zoe's Crafts. My order came very quickly, the prices are good and she has a good range of goodies. So why not check both of these out if you like a bargain.

See you all tomorrow I hope. We still have a lot of snow and ice here. It has been horrible again since Friday and I am pretty fed up with it. On the bright side my postie came today with an order from Craftwork cards and my Tesco home shopping was delivered too.

  4. What a beautiful card, for a very sad time for your friend. I'm sure it will bring comfort to her knowing you made something so special for her.
Hope the weather improves soon, we have another scraping of "snow", not worth the problems it will cause in the morning!!
