Look what I Made and Ribbon Girls Giveaway!

First of all apologies for not being around much and not having much to show you this week. I was babysitting for my daughter at the weekend. We had an overnight babysitting session on Sat/Sun. My son-in-law's firm had won an award so the owner was treating 50 of them to a meal and an overnight stay at the St. Andrews Bay Hotel. So we went down to stay at Crieff on Saturday. Poppy and Oliver were really good. Oliver at 17 months is very much his Mum's boy and to my relief he never said a word when his Mum and Dad left. The 2 of them even got on really well with the pups. At almost 7 months they are very boisterous! They kept trying to get Missy (Catriona's 8 year old Lab) to play but she refused. I think it was a bit of if I don't see them they're not there lol!

Before I went I had managed to sew up all of the jumper and hat and Poppy's cardie. The neck was knitted so all that was left was the front bands. I got that done and all that's left is the buttons. Unfortunately the buttons that Catriona bought were the wrong size so she'll have to buy some more and sew them on herself!

So here's Oliver's jumper and hat.

It has little anchors all over the jumper and one in the middle of hat.

This is Poppy's cardie. It has a row of dogs right round it. That was a lot of fun to knit! Then I had to embroider the doggies' collars and eyes. That was not much fun either.

And here is some lovely candy from the Ribbon Girl. Isn't it gorgeous. You just need to mention it on your blog and leave them a comment.

I'm off to try and catch up with my DT work and visiting my favourite blogs.

Thanks for looking

  1. love your knitted creations Kat, especially that little jumper with the anchors all over it - very smart! I love to knit little outfits - but my grandkids are too big now and prefer the modern shop clothes! I have been making a cardi for myself, for a couple of years now .. .. maybe it might get finished for next winter!

  6. Hi Kat!
Your jumpers are adorable. I clicked on the the white one so I could see all those little anchors.
I love sewing up jumpers, one minute there are just pieces that you've worked on for ages and the next minute there's a whole item of clothing!
