I'm a bit late with this post. I seem to have spent my time before making tea catching up with my favourite blogs and challenges. I'll make this short because I still have my ironing to do!
I can't take any credit for these bunnies at all as someone more talented than me had the idea of making one and worked out how to make them.
At the crop last month one of my friends was making bunnies to hold Easter Eggs. She had found them in a magazine. I don't know which magazine but I'm sure some of you will recognise them. My friend who comes to mine every Wednesday bought the magazine and decided to make some too. So I thought why not? Neither of us fancied cutting out the bits with a knife so we used dies. She lent me her Sizzix ones for the ears and feet as my oval nesties are fatter than her Sizzix ovals. The teeth and nose are little hearts that I cut with a Memory Box die. The whiskers are fine string that my friend stiffened. I think the bunny on the right must have rubbed his nose before I took the photo as his whiskers look a bit odd!
The ones in the magazine look quite cute but I think mine have a kind of "caught in the headlights" look!! Still I don't suppose Poppy and Oliver will mind. After all there's chocolate eggs inside them.
I'm entering the challenge at Papertake Weekly which is Easter Treats.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you leave. I think I'll go off and so some DT work now before I do my ironing.

They are really cute, I'm sure Poppy & Oliver will be delighted with them. I hope you haven't been affected by the huge amounts of snow this weekend, not a flake here!
ReplyDeleteI'm busy with orders from school, it goes on & On :-) but it's nice too. Hopefully I will have a bit of a break after this week, the end of term has come around really quickly.
I've also started another business?? I fell in love with Scentsy warmers & that has snatched some time too!! (www.angeladawes.scentsy.co.uk)
These are such a fabulous idea Kat and the little heart holing the whiskers is such a great finishing touch. I think I am going to have to give them a go time permitting
