Some More Cards.

Here are some more of my cards. This is why my blogger name is lilacKat! I love all shades of lilac. This one is using a sweet Sugar Nellies stamp. The colours are much nicer in real life! I used the Cuttlebug script folder which is really useful and easy to distress.Sorry not a very good photo but in real life these are nice soft colours.

Shades of lilac again and another sweet Gorjuss Girl.

I like pink and turquoise too .
By the way Fiona I know Linda because she works at my local surgery. I also met her at an all day class in Peterhead last year and that is when I found out she was a cardmaker too. Stupid question Fiona - I can't figure out how to get the "I play in the sugar bowl" logo onto my blog so that when I click on it it takes me to the Sugar Bowl challenge. I got it on but it didn't take me anywhere so I think I only got it on my blog as a picture. I have managed to get other ones on successfully, probably just by luck more than anything!
I'm hoping to get some Promarkers soon (tomorrow please) from Joanna Sheen. Do you need to use special card with them? I'd like to be able to try the Promarker challenge. I've had a look and it looks like fun. Having to use particular colours is something I have never done - yet.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Goes too quickly, doesn't it? Kat x

Sugar Bowl Challenge

This is my first attempt at a challenge for The Sugar Bowl, using Lilian's lovely sketch. I stamped and water coloured Flower Girl, one of my favourite Gorjuss Girls. I didn't have any "kraft" so I have used browns in the card. I chalked round the edges of the image with green and used a scalloped long rectangular Nestability to cut out a brown mat for it. The papers are Basic Grey Motifica. I made the flower using the papers and brown card. The ribbon and brad are from my stash.

Thank You!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who left comments on my first three blogs. Especially Michelle and Kat who said kind things about my cards. I think I am going to be brave and try to take part in a challenge. If I can figure out this linking stuff!! Kat xx

First Attempt at Adding Photos of Cards to My Blog!

This is a card I made using a Whiff of Joy stamp. I watercoloured the image. The papers are DCWV Green Stack and I "Cuttlebugged" a piece of Core dinations whitewash card with the script folder. I added some Prima flowers and some red pearls from my stash.
This is a Stamping Bella image water coloured and the papers are from My Mind's Eye and flowers from my stash.

This is a very plain card using a stamp from Little Claire which I water coloured and added a ribbon from my (vast) collection. Think I may have been a magpie in a previous life!!

This is a very bad photo of one of the first set of Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellies. I love Sugar Nellies stamps and have an awful lot of them!

Oops I didn't mean to upload this pic twice. Must have clicked on the wrong one. Really need to put on my specs!

Sugar Nellies Blog Hop.

I've just finished the Sugar Nellies blog hop and I'm exhausted! I couldn't do it yesterday because of work in the afternoon and my WRI car treasure hunt in the evening. We had a successful evening with 28 cars and lots of people. I'm the treasurer so I was very happy with the end result. Stopped me from doing any cardmaking tho! Need to do a quick Fathers' Day card for my husband - think I may have left it a little late! Nothing new there then. Had a lovely visit to Jacqui's shop Just Create at Alford and came home with some lovely goodies. Need to do something useful now like make that card.

1st Blog

This is it! My first blog. I've been thinking about it for a little while so here it is. Not a lot of time to write anything as I need to go to work but at least I've made a start.
